Implement plane bombing target practice or implement bomb location estimation

You just need a little knowledge of parabolas and the physics of Anton Planet

but that’s actually the case in tank vs tank combat, you’ve got pen&drop indicators, why planes might not have them then? I think making the game accessible is good for everyone.

Besides indicators for planes would make much more sense since it takes a whole another attempt to destroy a tank meanwhile tank vs tank all it takes is firing another round.

see Im on the otherside. those pen indicators can go too (practice only) :stuck_out_tongue: Potentially make tank combat longer

Im all for raising the bar :grinning:

I’d love that too but we both know this isn’t happening, DF doesn’t want tank combat to be longer, DF wants quick action and flashy numbers to appear of how many enemies you’ve killed and tanks destroyed.

someday my friend… realistic battles someday…

This is the problem though. You can’t expect people to learn how to be accurate with bombs currently. I love flying and have been playing for over a year now. I still have no idea how or where to aim to accurately hit a tank. The game absolutely needs a training ground specifically for bomb targeting at the very least to learn.

The bombs also need to be stronger. They are so weak it’s cringe. You currently have to be less than 2m away to blow a high tier tank. This makes it so much more difficult to learn how to aim as well and is incredibly unrealistic.

Bombs work great (except 100 pounds and certain speed restricted aircraft)
The problem is the anti-intellectual group that has no learning ability

I really don’t understand how difficult this is
Only a little knowledge of parabolas and assessment of bomb impact points are needed to ensure a penetration rate of at least 80%.
I even used to let neighborhood kids use my computer to play this game
It only took him one day to master the basic operations, the next day he learned how to throw bombs, and the third day he learned how to effectively massacre enemy anti-intellectual groups.
If it weren’t for the fact that most of the teammates in this game have low IQs that make him irritable and irritable, always disturbing me to take a break, I would definitely ask him to help me farm silver coins.

It is bit sketchy and feels alot different for different planes.
Bombs on wings or under fuselage and so on.
Also planes themself, have extremely different flying charasterics.
Agile BF109 does pretty well and then theres the horror D12 that has flying charasterics of a steamship.

I wouldnt really mind the bombing indicator which is suggested here.
Plenty of people, maybe even majority dont really take this game so seriously that they would spend days, weeks, months or even years to just learn to bomb in enlisted.

Dunno, bombs used to be mini-nukes years ago.
Somehow it seems to be impossible for DF to find the sweetspot.
Its either mini-nuke or technically just big hand grenade.
From these 2 shitty options I prefer the latter.

il just leave this here.

The issue is we don’t have a great way to learn right now. You have the tank field in practice mode, sure. But it is not suitable for learning how to drop bombs. You start out incredibly low and close to the tanks, you have to waste a few minutes just climbing and circling around to get into a position to even dive properly. The tanks are all so close together, making practicing at 1 target harder. You’re in first person view, so you cant easily look and see where your bombs landed to adjust your aim. In theory you could get really good using 1 plane constantly remembering where to point your sights, but then moving to a different plane changes it all.

They need a bombing run practice course that includes aircraft takeoff and landings for US Navy planes. Not quite sure why DF would have people taking off on carriers with no to learn except wasting your plane squad in actual battle, but this is DF we’re talking about an much of what they do makes little sense to me. But whatever…

Yeah it took me several tries in game to finally understand what i was doing wrong. I think you already know to put your flaps in takeoff, engine to full power. the part that specifically took me a while to figure out is you need to adjust your pointer lower (if you’re using the move to pointer method, i usually move it just above the flight stick) so when the plane starts moving it is now aimed straight ahead and parallel to the runway instead of upwards. This allows you to gain the speed you need to actually take off instead of just stalling and falling in the ocean. Wait to pull up at the very end of run way and remember to retract your wheels. It’s pretty simple once you’ve figured the couple small things out. It’s just there’s really no way of knowing ahead of a time which is a problem

Honestly full throttle and the above is all you need on any plane. Flaps arent necessary

To some extent, the M8 against the Tiger is similar to the 76 against the King Tiger.
They can only shoot a very small pixel
At the same time, it will be more difficult to hit these pixels due to uncertain factors such as network status and enemy movement.
It is precisely because the fault tolerance rate is too low
Therefore, players with normal intelligence prefer HV and 500-pound bombs to ensure the probability of destruction in advanced environments instead of using M8 which relies too much on luck and accuracy.
Unless one day I can see at least 7 out of 10 games in which P38 players can effectively destroy the Tiger series
Otherwise there is no reason not to support P47RE becoming level 3

I think this can be practiced in actual combat
You are fully capable of pulling the plane up and turning after dropping the bomb and turning your head back to watch the smoke of the bomb landing.

Then you can try dropping the bomb vertically
Dive at an angle of more than 75 degrees and make sure the target is between the middle of your crosshair and the lower edge
Drop the bomb at about 300 meters
You have at least a 75% chance of dropping the bomb directly onto the vehicle and seeing the hit mark

Or show the Japanese spirit

Shouldnt be too hard for you ?
Afterall theres probably not a single topic on forum where you aint in some form calling everyone & theyr suggestions idiotic & l2p.

My success rate is only 60%
So I choose to use 500 pounds to solve the problem (80%) instead of using methods that are not in line with my own abilities.
The same goes for other players with normal intelligence

I am not treating anyone as an intellectually or cognitively disabled person or an extremist
There are only those who are selfish and incompetent and like to make excuses for their incompetence but are not even willing to learn or change their course of action.
As well as the extreme ideologues who always discriminate and smear other play styles that do not conform to their own ideas (tactics and equipment that are premised on being helpful on the battlefield)

What about real bomb sights, thought?
