If more than 30% of players abandon the game, reward the ones who stay with +50% campaign xp

And if 50% or more players abandon the round reward those who stay with +100% campaign xp

At least reward those who stay to fight until the end if majority of others left. It gives some sort of motivation to play along until last stand.

Reward isnt the way how this game works.

Instead, we can give the enemy team -9% xp for every bot in your team, so they will get only 10% in full-AI game. Congrats, the balanz is saved!

that’s an awful suggestion as it only hurts the players that stay not the players that leave I think rokkafella has a better idea but 50% and 100% is too much I think it should be around 10-30%

Im not really sure about that, getting rewards is what this game is about. Its grindy af, less if you pay, but still grindy

I dont get the whole leave the game thing, if you leave you lose the grind, right ?

you lose only half the xp you got in the match you left, but heres the thing they leave at the start of the match or 5 minutes in after they see that their team is a pack of moles both have almost nothink in the way of the grind

You don’t get any fun in battle, so you leave it. That’s easy.

OK so if they think there team isn’t going to win, they bail, Because winning is how they have fun?

This must be why so many people are annoyed with the whole rank thing, because if they leave they lose a point…?

I was in a match today and I watched a guy who was number to leave the match at the very end of the match, this baffles me, because he lost all that experience plus he loses a point of his rank as well, and he would’ve gotten an award which would’ve meant that he would’ve had a zero instead of a negative

I don’t think it’s about winning. With these hopeless matches every second tends to be miserable and you barely get any progression in the end.

Personally I don’t quit matches, but only because I refuse to set off that chain reaction of making everyone around me even more miserable. Apparently, this behavior is fairly uncommon and in Enlisted it stays completely unrewarded.

That’s only true for the lowest levels. At higher ranks you need wins to not lose points, that’s the biggest point of contention. Because it’s an additional incentive for some of the most destructive behaviros. Wouldn’t have been that big of an issue if this game was well thought out. It isn’t, though.

Colour me confused, so if you leave the game at a higher rank level you don’t actually lose a point?

I guess you can’t lose if you don’t play…

I’ve never once left the game, I don’t really care if I win or if I lose, for me the fun is really just getting kills, I don’t mean to suggest that I wouldn’t rather win but it’s not important to me, except of course now we have this incentive to win and I had thought that that would be a positive that it would encourage people to not leave the game but apparently that’s not the case?

No, you obviously lose a point if you quit. It’s just that you lose a point even when you stay if it’s a losing fight.

Oh I see what you’re saying, you’re gonna lose a point anyway so why not just leave that’s what they’re thinking is

Exactly. It doesn’t necessarily add incentive to quit more often than normal, but it does add incentive to stack the odds in your favor as much as possible. Which in this game can be taken to quite a destructive degree, thus making the game more unpleasant overall.

In other words, at top ranks this system doesn’t help with the quitter problem and makes things worse in other ways at the same time.

would you play a game of poker if you expected that you were going to lose? or a game of football? or take part in a race if you knew that the race course favours the other racer more then you?

I might be in the minority but I actually don’t care if I win or lose this kind of a game, I’m more interested in whether there’s things to shoot at, if that guy in the plane that I’m pulling up behind is going to fight or just let me shoot him down, The objective is just an excuse to bring us together so that we can try and shoot one another.

My focus is micro not macro.

I think this is in part because winning or losing is ultimately based on lots of very arbitrary variables it’s not something I can really control I can contribute as much as I can by getting as many kills as I can or trying to get as many captures as I can but again there’s too many variables for me to really be able to have a deciding factor in whether or not I can win the game therefore there isn’t really much in the way of interest in whether or not we win or lose it’s kind of like voting for president my vote won’t make a bit of difference

So I guess to simplify that I’m not really looking to win games that’s not why I’m playing this game, I’m playing this game because the micro fights are fun

And interestingly enough sometimes they’re actually better when we’re losing…

i dont mind losing but only when we had a chance to win, no fun in playing if the ggame was rigged from the start
infact i have the most fun when we JUST win by the skin of our teeth or we lose after we atleast made some progress (at the 3rd or 4th point on invasion or drained half the other teams tickets or aleast destoryed two points on destruction )

Yeah I get that by the skin of the teeth thing I had a couple of matches today like that and they were good fun, or even half way like you said that’s also good fun because it’s usually a pitched battle, it’s a good fight.

But sometimes there’s some matches where are you can’t even capture the first points and it just becomes a big meat grinder and those can be a little frustrating, but they can also be a good opportunity to get a lot of kills, no matter what side you’re on, The fighting is intense but the game isn’t going anywhere.

I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s played a lot of games like this, but in many of the ones that I played before this it wasn’t important if you won or if you lost if you were playing for rank, what was important and this is going to sound very cheesy was how you played the game.

Things like kills per time, what was your kill death ratio, how much time did you spend capturing, or defending the objective, how many captures did you get, all of these things were looking at how well you played the game whether you won or lost was irrelevant.

Having a kill death ratio be a factor in some sort of ranking structure will D incentivize the whole kamikaze thing at least if people are trying to play for rank. Communities will always be divided between those people that want to try to play for rank and those people who really just care about winning or losing because the latter often feel at odds with the former because they think that they’re not contributing to the overall victory, but the truth is both are really necessary whether they want to realize it or not, somebody hast to get the kills to make up for the guy that has 20 deaths, I do see a lot of matches that are lost because we have too many deaths versus the other team but this isn’t something that’s really ever discussed at any length.

most of these matches are a waste of time as you would be getting capped by tanks and bombers as soon as you spawn, so it would be better to just leave and find a new fair match to play in

Well this probably explains why many of the matches are, role or be rolled, because instead of staying and trying to fight they leave right off the bat and it just makes it worse unless they think they’re going to win and they stay
