True, if the soviets didnt get theyr ass kicked they wouldnt have ever figured out how incapable they truely are.
And highly doubt that without the hasty changes after the humiliation of winterwar germans would have steamrolled them.

Ehh for now I think the game should stay strictly in WW2. Obviously the Winter War was related to the overall time of war of that period just like the Battle of Kalkin-Gol which I see get suggested here a lot, but I just think we should stay strictly in the WW2 timeline

To be honest, this idea is not bad.
They could add this as a campaign and make Finland a new faction. Although, I’m pretty concerned on how much things will be there, equipment wise.

World War 2 started in 1st september 1939 and ended in 2nd September 1945
Winter war is a war inside World War 2.

When Finnish delegation flies to Moscow to ask for a peace treaty, agrees to your terms, gives land and goes home… hard to call it a loss.

ik my opinion doesn’t really matter, but imo the finns won by the sole reason that the soviets didn’t achieve all their strategics objectives. I’m the weirdo who thinks that if you don’t fulfill your war goals you loose, though, but just my 3 cents.

I replied to the other dude with this, but even though my opinion doesn’t matter: The soviets didn’t achieve their war goals, so they didn’t win. At least in my opinion when you’re the one who starts the war the bar for you winning is higher.

Preferably no.
As this previous victory required a war, which winland never wanted.
So to this win to ever to happen again, it would require a soviet assault on winland again.
And considering the previous conflicts id estimate it would take 2 weeks from winlands military to reach moscow and regardless how happy and prosperous country winland is, it probably could not sustain 144 million ? new social welfare clients after the surrender and annexiation of soviets.

The Winter War was a separate war between the Soviets and Finland. The Soviets did not join WW2 until the Germans invaded them in 1941
