I was thinking, Britian played a Good role in WW2, So they should have enough guns tanks planes etc. to have Thier own faction,

I believe Britian has a sub-tree is usa, but what about Having their own faction, that will definately be the next country i grind if they become a faction.

Most people want this, but it probably will never happen, same with Italy. It sucks but, there’s just a lot of problems with it that certain players will bitch about.

Sub-tree is what I brought up before. It can be done, and simply, I would reckon. Why not? Idk. Another Enlisted void in logic.

The developers were adviced against it, but still they have gone for a 1-for-1 balance strategy, apparently everyone must have a Select-Fire Rifle, a Assault Rifle and so on, and with this kind of system the Commonwealth just can’t be it’s own seperate faction. The US couldn’t either, but threw in prototypes to force it to work, sadly for us the UK did not experiment the same way.

You’d have to look for post-war prototypes and inventions for Britain to have a full tree, and even though the precedent has been set for this (post-war Soviet Jet for example,) I as a Commonwealth main at heart (because you can’t be one in game yet) would not want that for the game.

I didn’t want it this way, Soviets could have been the only ones with a tech tree Select-Fire Rifle, Germany with the only tech tree Assault Rifle, but now it is… the Commonwealth COULD have been a perfectly balanced and competative nation, but once more the devs have shot themselves in the foot by making poor gameplay descisions.

Anyway, I still remain 100% in favour for full Commonwealth representation in the game, squad wise 1-for-1 representation with the US, no matter in what way it is implemented, be that as a fully expanded upon sub-faction or it’s own thing with just a lot of lend-lease gear mixed in. I preffer the former, I don’t mind queueing with the US, but even so it would have been nice to have a way for the occasional all UK or US matches…

I think they should just have Britain and Italy be BR III Max nations

As a proud, tea-drinking, queue-loving, Brit, I’d love to see a British faction. Alas, it’s unlikely to happen, though I agree with most that it could be a viable sub-faction down the line.

Why though?

Italy capitulated in 1943, but the British stuck it out until the end (and beyond).

Because they wouldn’t have good enough equipment to move on to BR IV. This game isn’t really about how well they did but how good their stuff was.

Well if my constant centurion rambling passes. They will. And I am sure there are other infantry weapons that could be added that are good around those battle ratings. Not all bleak.

I have to mention here the venerable Hobart’s Funnies…

Perhaps, but there are some things that must the high tier, like their late-war tanks, or the Vickers K machine gun.

I would not have minded a vehicle heavy Commonwealth faction, where most infantry gear is unlocked between BR I-III (with the occasional exception of MGs like Lewis or Vickers K), but their tanks and aircraft would still make them BR IV-V worthy, especially in a enviorment where everyone wouldn’t be running around with Select-Fire Rifles.

Italy did continue the war on the Allied side, so them being a seperate faction would enable them to queue up for both sides on a (hopefully) future Italian campaign, but Axis only in North Africa and the Eastern Front. I think it’s a cool idea, and one that could work.

Yeah, that’s fair.

What about them? I mean they would make great GB premiums

What I mean is they were part of D-Day (and other late battles), so they could absolutely be a BRIV option.

I think Britain could go up to BR IV, but Italy should be BR III, the P40 will make the perfect BR III Tank

^ this.

Low key there should be an Italian and Britain independence movement for enlisted.

There is also the Churchill AVRE 290 mortar. But maybe that is too much?
This thing would make the 105 look bad.

It has poor range, also I’m about to make a post about adding a Hungarian unit in the TT

True. But one cannot discount that explosion. But when putting it in that perspective of low range, it’s a fair tradeoff. It might not be so broken.
