There may be avatar and event arts that are questionable in quality but AI art is a controversial thing and I don’t think its a solution for it. AI art may even fuck up the game industry if developers are not careful.
I like anime too but bad idea are bad idea indipendentaly of your pfp, regard the topic, as i said up OP need understand how artist work

I completely agree with this stormtrooper.
AI art is garbage. It is simply copying and pasting assets that have been painted by artists in the past. And many of them have stolen without permission. It is boring and a pirate technology that ignores the rights of the artists. There are many problems with this game, but if the prize is a copy-and-paste of AI’s output, it will be the final nail in the coffin that “ENLISTED” will be shot into.
I would 100 times rather have the current cubist, poorly hand-drawn art as a prize than such a thing.

Ai avatars are not only cursed with sometimes really weird flaws, but most importantly, they try to replace REAL artists with talent.
If you hate art that’s on you, just don’t use the artists avatars. I myself love them, and I support his work.
Next you’ll ask to have ai generated maps (next step in replacing artists). It will surely be “fun” to play on broken cursed maps… sheesh.

Anyway, to stay on topic:
Someone may not like the official artist(s)’ style, but it’s an aesthetic choice nonetheless, AND paid work. Which, incidentally, also becomes paid content in game, since player portraits can be bought.
As such, AI generated portraits would be a downgrade and a low blow from the company, not only for the limits and quality of AI art in general, but also because they’d be selling out stuff made with literally 0 effort.
And, also,
This piece of reasoning is downright dumb, no matter how you turn it, for the reasons others already said.

The conventional art world also has photobash, an art form that combines existing photographs. This is very similar to how AI-created art works, except that it is done by hand. However, what is created by photobash is only the foundation of the work, which is then sublimated into a work of art by a human being who puts his/her imagination and effort into it.
There are also artists who use AI to create the foundation of their own work, but they also put in a lot of work to complete it, and sometimes do the retouching themselves.
There are many kinds of art in the world… but what is recognized as art is the result of the creativity, skill, and passion of the artist. I value art that has been created by the sweat of the artist’s brow.
But the art by AI that is being discussed on the internet right now is art that can be easily produced, art that requires no effort at all, and art that does not clear up the rights issues of the materials used in the study. And this thread is proposing such things, and further insulting the current artists badly.
Please don’t give away or sell such AI Art as prizes for events, it would be degrading to the game of Enlisted.

Those are cool but any cool avatars that depict Axis soldiers with symbols or officers will probably get censored lol we can’t even get a Rommel avatar or any Axis leader avatar when hitting Marshal for that matter.
