I personally admit this game's infantry part now is rolled back to pre CBT! Look at moscow's conquest rallypoint forbid zone!

OG title: Those familiar places that now unable to place rallypoint
But after drawing several maps via PS, I just find how ridiculous it is now:

Also, the most “classic” one:

LOL , there’s no place at all for rallypoint!

I have talked about OP engineer due to they simply carry ALL buildable functions.

I really think it’s time to split some building function to other roles. Currently, You are just throwing all the buildable stuff to the engineer role! Buildable stuff is a great feature of this game. Do not nerf it. Instead to consider rebalance this feature.

Also I didnt count spawn point forbid zone!

But now?
Let’s go back to pre CBT era, where there’s no rallypoint!

Major Update 0.1.10.23

  • New buildings have been added for engineers:
    • Rally point - available for all allies who will select it on the respawn screen.

info: circle radius 70m, varies a little according to each sectors.
Some pic is from my wiki.

It’s so sad that it’s funny.

People kept complaining that nobody built rp, that rp are important for the team victory and so on…

And they make them impossible to use “for balance”… Because it somehow favour “expert” players to build rp…

This was just a random number they dreamed up. They didnt test it, try it, think of different modes or anything. Simple LAZINESS at its best. Probably going to remove my engineer squads from my line up. Cant kill tanks with AT guns and rally points are toast, might as well just use assault squads with one engineer for ammo

DF be like “Some cps have no big enough rallye-free zones… lets increase all of them “a bit” (again 2x isnt little)”

Even a player has a better understanding of their maps than dev…
WTF…

Use to run 4 engineers in the squad to make sure I could get to a place to set a good rally but now why waste my time? Ill take more SMGs and just use the assault squad

NGL this one is pure gold

Im thinking all assault squads. Sweep defenders off and stop the counter attack to cap it as they walk 80 meters from a predictable direction. Or as the Germans the MP43s will have the range advantage anyway making most allied weapons less effective

Spawning a Conquest map = instant desertion from me

Same. Even more so now lol going to be a round robin walkathon

Fox: "Let’s be constructive. The game is designed for many players, not just the very skilled and experienced. To make it interesting for everyone, it must have an honest balance.

The point that allows you to take one step and be in front of the enemy again spoils the balance, so we adjusted it a little."

Df: We achieved balance, everyone will walk!

Df: Uh oh…

You forgot to add circles for normal spawn points, as you cannot build being to close to spawn point. So we can see how little of the map is left.

Yep I know. I hate assault squads but why bring my engineers? AT guns are crap, no need to get forward with a rally point so one engineer can build a point IF I find one and bring ammo. MG nests take too long since Ill be walking alot more. SMGs and grenades to clear and hold meta all the way

Mmmh not sure… thanks to their logic:

" hey guys, they must sprint 80m to get here. Are all our 3 20mm AA and sandbags mg42s ready? Trololololol"

So much for preventing “experienced” players to have the edge. At least everyone could build rp, even new guys (except in Tunisia til lvl 9).

Yeah walk for a minute then hammer for 30 seconds? Im already bored by then lol might as well have as big of an impact as possible once you make it to the point

Well if you really think about it he has a point. Experienced players had an edge because they built rally points. It wasn’t fair because they would be in action almost 24/7 while the weaker players wouldn’t build rally points, run more than they fight and they would lose most of their squad by the time they got close to the fight. This balances it out, if nobody can build rally points everyone has to walk making the weaker players’ experience… what does it change for them again? Once they get pushed back into their spawns they have the same problems so… I guess just one less thing they can blame for their losses?

If I show up with a team of Thompsons and all the noobs have K98s who will win? Who will hold the point and then repel them when they counter? New players can use veterans rally points so that isnt a problem and an entire team of new players will still get annihilated by higher level players regardless. Feels like more of a dumbing down of tactics

it was mostly down to stupidity to not buil rally points(except tunisia)
engineers are generally the seond squad you can unlock

Regardless of the weapons, an experienced player is going to win against a noob because they can manage their strengths and weaknesses a lot better. Also that’s assuming the teams are balanced with both newer and veteran players in both teams. If one team has only newbies and the other has any veterans (which does seem to happen a lot) what I described would be a pretty logical conclusion I think.

Played a couple games just to come say Lmao. Yet another change people didn’t ask for. Seems like the trend is just continuing on yet again. Whelp, I’ll be back again when something unwanted like this happens again in the coming weeks!

And yes during my games I did too feel the effects of this change. Ngl it annoyed me in-game and I see why folks are upset.
