I just heard someone said that next tank unlock for Normandy is very unbalanced

I mostly play Normandy. I am shocked to hear M10 Wolverine is at the same unlock level with Panther. Because M10 Wolverine is a joke compared to Panther at armor or guns. Also even M4A3E2’s poor gun can not penetrate Panther’s front.
Also for infantry weapons, US is much weaker than German side. This makes overall much unbalanced for US.
I hope they can swap M10 for M4 firefly.

Did you heard it from someone oficial, or just from “dude, trust me” sauce?

Even if it was true, and although the M10 is of course less armored than the Panther, its 76mm gun is supposed to be fully able to pierce through Panther’s mantlet at the typical engagement distances in Enlisted.

So it would be a reversed Jumbo situation, where in a frontal 1 vs 1 one vehicle can easily destroy the other while the other way around CAN be done, but requires careful aiming.

I have a solution for this problem:
Just flank it :tm:

Oh oh I’ve got one!

“Muuh just throw dynamite at it”
Or
“Pfff just carefully aim at the tiny mg port, EASY!”

I love bashing “mains”

But on a serious note: don’t fear too much. What will be released as well are some versions of the bazooka. There will be rockets. Rockets everywhere.

God forbid the current situation is reversed, where Panzer IVs have to flank Jumbos to have a chance to reliably destroy them. Did you think this through before posting? Does it upset you so much that top tier US tanks are no longer ridiculously more powerful than their German counterparts?

M10 is perfectly capable of destroying a Panther, and you take issue with the fact that, finally, top tier tanks would be more balanced than the current situation where german tanks seriously struggle against US ones.

Allied players crying again was having the jumbo and thunderbolt not enough for you noobs?

For my actual answer: it would make much more sense if it was jdpz4 since both of them were 100% confirmed for Normandy and both are TDs- from your local carbine purist that hunts jumbos in the 3n

US already had fun time bullying German with their jumbo, time to switch i guess

Oh it’s salt man, long time no see but seriously adding the panther right now would be equal to the us getting super persh

well, thats the thing again, the panther was supposed to destroy targets at above 1000m distance it was not designed to be “good” at close range combat like we see in enlisted.
Thus cracking that monster was not impossible at all with the “better” types of allied tanks like the Sherman with the longer gun and its many different variants of vehicles that used comparable guns.

However, it just seems weird to throw the M10 into the fight. From a “gun performance” comparison the 17 pounder of the Firefly would fit better, or even the 90mm gun of a Jackson.
— but then again, those tanks are kinda more like designated “tank hunters” and shouldn’t be compared with the panther to begin with.
So what we have left as real options would be top tier sherman tanks, since the pershing is 100% out of question.

What are the top tier sherman tanks that existed?
well, E8 and Jumbo with longer gun.

So maybe just a “better jumbo sherman” vs panther would make more sense, at least to have some sort of balance.
Jumbo sherman having better front armor, but the panther having a better gun— both should have “some sort of problem” penetrating the frontal hull armor, but should knock each other out hitting the turret.

OR if the devs really want to keep having some sort of “uniqueness” to the two factions, they could add hellcats or E8’s… but then we get the painful question again: did these vehicles even fight in normandy?

For me personally, i think panthers and Jumbos shouldnt fight in normandy AT ALL, so that we can have a very basic ballance of Sherman with 76mm gun vs Panzer IV H … and to add more content Stug III vs M10.

Tanks like a Panther or Tigers and Fireflys or Jacksons and Jumbo shermans would fit something like battles at the Rhein or belgium soo much better.

Alternative, since the devs said they aren’t going to remove jumbo, we could put track armor onto the p4h making it into a pseudo heavy tank since jumbo is using the m72 solid shot with 92mm of penetration

All is balanced, no need to cry cupcake.

Well yeah consider jumbo has only m72 AP not the m61 APHE Shell

As all the American Players said to German players countless times before “just flank it”.
