I have to agree, if you have good aim you can still do really well with a M3A1 at the BRs you get matched with. You have to play more strategically but it still gets the job done even if it isn’t optimal.
As somebody who plays every faction with random on I honestly don’t mind it at all.
Im lucky enough to have heaps of event/battlepass and premium smgs. Really dont get bored on br 2/3 smg front

Grease gun is fairly decent at BR2, high damage and low rate of fire makes it easy to aim for the head.
Owen gun is underrated, it’s very similar to PPS-43 but because of its sights people tend to overlook it.
Lanchester is the most balanced, literally a better MP-40. Very good gun at BR2
I mean, I use the Auto-5 combat shotgun. It’s got surprisingly good range and a fast fire rate.
Thompson 20 round is at br 2 but it a premium because it broken for br 2
20 round thompson m1a1 would be nothing compared to pps 43
Agaisnt japanese smg it a joke it like a br 3 smg with the fire rate and recoil
Personally I prefer the pump action just for the 1 extra shell
The owen is really fun for br 2

I guess players haven’t changed their mindset yet since the Beretta M1 used to be BR3. Since every BR3 weapon is thrown to the wayside, I wouldn’t be surprised if people forgot it even existed.

Historicly accuraty have been throw out the window with merge so good chance for you and your future mod.
I was already using extremely odd loadouts before the merge. Seriously, if a squad ain’t got at least 4-5 different types of firearms, it ain’t mine. I unlocked that shit and I damn well intend on using it
I’m so ready. That pseudo commando squad I made… I’ll switch those 4 silenced grease guns to my Aussie boys and get real "hidden and dangerous " on my enemies.
