I believe the game should lean towards realism

The game is already geared towards a war simulator filled with arcade elements but i believe this game would function and play better with more realism.

Now before i get berated by people for calling this a war simulator, let me prove it to you:

Delay in control imput just like Isonzo and Insurgency.

And First Person only Vehicle cameras.

But we should move towards more realistic elements such as:
Bullet based damage.

NO BULLET DEVIATION!!!

A weight system like cuisine royale

Longer ADS time with Medium Machine Guns.

Reduced recoil on Submachine Guns.

Reduced damage fall-off with Submachine Guns.

Working features on Guns wike the Telescoping Bolt assembly on the MP-38, MP-40, MP-41, Erma EMP-35, PP Shpitalniy 1940, and Schmeisser M.K.36 III, the Telescoping Bolt assembly greatly reduces recoil by stopping the bolt from hitting the back of the receiver.

Another feature would be Muzzle Brakes actually working: They work by expelling gasses vertically and horizontaly to push the gun against its recoil, guns like the SVT-40 and PPSh-41 in real life are extremely controlable because of this, the SVT-40 is lightweight and soft shooting, the muzzle break works extremely well.

The last feature would be a bleeding out mechanic like in Isonzo, you would use the new Medkit system to stop bleeding
Medkits should have 2 items in them: bandages to stop bleeding and syringes to heal and revive.

Let me know what you agree and disagree with.

I don’t agree with this part, that would only serve to overcomplicate things. If there were to be a rework, it’d be better to base it off of Red Orchestra/Rising Storm if anything. Otherwise I do think realism would be more interesting, I think the focus right now is to make sure that the devs actually listen to the people wanting historical accuracy in the game and fix the inaccuracies (MKB in Moscow, and soon the MG42).

I don’t know if they could go too in depth with simulator features but I do like the points you brought up :+1:

Fast-paced, semi-realistic FPS with no communication required, but still with a teamplay element. That could be the sweet spot, taking the place of some other (already dead) games like Red Orchestra 2, but with a little more arcade elements, to attract more players.
More realistic stuff is the right way to go in my opinion. Enlisted should not be the low quality free copy of Battlefield or CoD.

Enlisted need be the Red orchestra 3

U do that and the game is fucked up it will be PPSH reign of terror full pew pew pew no skill … if you want that please COD is here waiting for you

I believe the game should GO TO MORE BALANCE MATCHES nothing else is more important

I Heartly Very Agree. hope the Game changes more like this, and Devs to realize what ā€œHistoricalā€ means, Also about the cosmetics either.

In reality, the magazine version of PPSH is more practical than the drum version, and other submachine guns with drum are the same, but this is not restored in the game, which makes the drum submachine gun even stronger. This is more of a game dev team trying to cater to pewpewpewCQC fans. This in itself is unrealism

I agree

Isn’t it already the case?

a weight system would make so much sense, that way, the devs could balance MGs without making them insanely inaccurate

One more thing that I would really like in Enlisted is what they recently did in Tarkov - adding inertia to soldiers. It would eliminate those annoying ā€œCoD-likeā€ tactics, like crouching instantly and walking sideways when seeing enemies.

to be fair tho, Tarkovs inertia is basically non existent, Squad inertia is the way to go.

Fair, I meant Tarkov just as an example. My point is that I absolutely hate player who use muscle memory instead of brain - those who crouch, jump and mash A and D every single time they see an enemy. I just believe that if a game wants to be at least partially realistic it needs to counter such behavior.

I was referring to the realistic elements already in the game.

I think this game is the best WW2 sandbox and its pretty much everything I’ve ever wanted from a WW2 shooter.

As much as I miss Red Orchestra 2, yeah this is the formula that I miss in shooters but the problem is Enlisted is designed differently with the squads mode that makes it different to other FPS games.

Besides RO2 being in Unreal3 with all its limitations is why I would want something close to RO2 but with a more modern engine that’s capable to make maps beautiful along with some new mechanics or improved existing ones that are good.

I think you misunderstood what he was trying to say.

I think what he meant is:

We already have Realistic-ish things such as FPS vehicle views and Movement delays, but we need to go Further. more realistic. not the very very hardcore way, but more in a way that meets common sense more.

Lower recoil for smaller calibre, Weight system, No bullet deviation and Same damage per same round and etc.
