How to skill? Noob here needs help from you guys

It is very difficult in Enlisted to make snipers work well in your team, you need to either have a good position to pick targets directly out of the capture zone - or you manage to get a risky flank going and take out enemies before they manage to get to the point - which however will attract alot of attention, so you will need to be able to defend yourself in close range.

Also boltaction rifles require the most precision and quickest reaction times to make them work, which in general doesn’t sound ideal to new players or players with low FPS.

Are mortars squads useful or useless?

that depend if it an open cap zone then yea mortar is quite useful imo but if it a building zone or too many obstacle map then it not so good

also dont fire mortar while in building since the shell will hit the building roof

ok, thanks.

Most would say yes…

But in truth, they ARE useful, because of the wide choice of specialists you can bring in the squad. It can assault after a bombardment if you equip 2 assaulters. It can keep supporting from afar with a sniper. It can KEEP bombarding cap zones thanks to 2 engineers an their ammunition resupply. Or it can turn into a good cap defense squad with the same 2 engineers that build stuff.

Mortar squads, are versatile. Don’t underestimate them.

i find mortar most useful as first squad spawning and first cap is open cap. you can get loads of kills by firing on cap and around it. after that it is pretty meh if you are playing solo. sometimes you can get great results and sometimes it is pretty bad.

well that is deal with every other squad :stuck_out_tongue:

Unless you can continuously find dense enemies or key targets
Otherwise I don’t recommend hiding behind and using mortars for a long time

Make more use of smoke warheads
This has more tactical value than high-explosive bombs

The only tanks that light mortars can effectively attack are a few light tanks (the chance of destroying or igniting the engine is extremely low) and convertibles
Harassment with smoke grenades is more effective than ineffective attacks with high-explosive grenades
Unless you have a level 5 mortar, don’t try to attack a fully armored tank with high-explosive rounds.

I found mortarmen can be customized a bit more.

Instead of just one assaulter, you can choose 2, as example, and BAM, you just got an extremely potent shock assault squad (mortar then charge). Riflemen as example, can only bring one type of specialist each: just one mg OR one assaulter OR one sniper…

Bonus:
Mortarmen squads, have the best uniforms. For Germany they are paratroopers so giving them fg42 feels justified. For Soviets with Berlin squads they were the only ones with blue nkvd caps, the Germany ss equivalent.

Mortarmen are cool and good, if used well.

I wish one day I can add a flamethrower in my enginer squad :slightly_frowning_face: I grow up doing it in CoH is a must

Maybe move the mortars and flamethrowers to other squads
For example, the communications group
Use smoke first and then attack with a flamethrower
this sounds great

Oh you have experience in war thunder. Then by all means use a tank. The tank play is very similar. You will perform well
