How not to suck in Enlisted?

It would be good if some of the fellow players and forum member posted a tutorial, or even some quick notes, with tips for average (and below average) players.
E.g. we all know “Tip no.1: build rally points”, but WHERE? In attack, defense, etc… On a flank, back of defense point, in front of defense point, etc…
And also how to defend and how to attack with most important squads (riflemen, assaulters, MG gunners). Just infantry for now would be enough.

I have been playing for about a month now (Moscow and Tunisia) and most of battles I am in the upper half of the team score (so just above the bots  ) but much more rarely in the first three.
I must say I have not a big experience in playing FPS (just played Red Orchestra 2 and ARMA 2 some time ago) so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Put rally in the shortest possible distance from the point, but either to the left or to the right and in a closed place.
Never put rally in the attic in Moscow.

Use smokes for easy attack(idk why so many people not use him)

train you self on run’n gun enlisted is an aracade type of shooter not a realistic one.

rally points depends of the situation the ideal is 60m away from objective the position depends, you need a spawn point closer to the objective? shield the SP in a way that is not visible to the enemy and your team dosent get obliterated when spawning, need a flanking one? same principle but depends on the position of the enemy, there isnt a set position you need to literally get good.

there are good and bad squads but it come all to the variety of the squads per se (like a rifle man squad with an assaluter, machine gunner, radio man, engingeer more optionion you have better you can play) but in the end you need to experiment with all the squads and find your play style, you want to stay 70m behind and snipe people? pick the sniper squad and unlock an engingeer.

the “weak” squads are imo bomber I, engingeer I, all the flame thrower one and mortar.

for knowing how to attack defend ecc you need to acquire game sense, and you can acquire it only playing more.

It’s totally up to you where to put rallies. But after not very long, you’ll figure out yourself where the “best” places for them will be (this will always be situational). You wanna try and make sure your team mates have a shorter distance to run to get to the action, but you also don’t want half the team spawning out in the open with no protection.

The most important thing is that you do place them. They help a lot.

literally

as near as possible to the capture and in covered place but isnt in the middle of battle because it prevent from spawning. if none cover then some where slightly farther, sandbag wall doesnt help

  1. bring 3 TNT, TNT good, kill tanks
  2. spawn plane, to kill plane
  3. only use assaulter and heavy assaulter (kinda forget the name)
  4. always put engineer on every squad
  5. spawn as bomber plane to steam rolling your enemy and have boring fun
  6. radioman in every squad is good too
  7. only use 4 star weapon since it’s easier to full start it and get extra dmaage
  8. ping is everything, lower it as much as possible
  9. always prioritize building rally
  10. use allies, axis sucks
  11. flank and take longer route to build rally is always worth it
  12. spawn bomber plane, kill tanks
  13. do not use any squad beside assaulter, heavy assaulter, radioman, rifleman, enginner, sniper
  14. you dont need 2nd soldier like Assaulter II and similar, Assaulter I is more than enough
  15. the only perk you need are, 75% faster medkit usage, 200% medkit restorage, and 50% farther granade throwing (8/8/6)
  16. git gud
  17. etc etc

I put rally points right next to defensive objectives to hold. I mean you spawn in and within 2-3 seconds you can be on point. But nobody never defends and we lose. Can’t help stupid

… Or too high in buildings in general. Bots are not the best at pathfinding and could have trouble going 2 stories down even if the stairs case is right in front of them wich brings us to a pro tip: if you spawn on a friendly rally that happens to be in an atic, melee destroy it immediately. Those rallies HANDICAP your team in a way that could easily spell defeat, since all bots will remain in the atic. Your team will be grateful as those rallies are often set up by self centered egoistic pricks who either just want to snipe all match from that single window from the atic or think they can rambo behind enemy lines ALONE and somehow succeed…

Theres atics in the city in Moscow campaign too (the conquest and assault only map) rallies built in those buildings atics must absolutely be destroyed.
Or those buildings rallies on the second story of many wooden buildings, atop ladders, bots are afraid to jump down. Must be destroyed too.

but mension is the one where it always happens, there is always someone who thinks it’s a good idea, always. in the other maps is affordable spawn, destroy the rallypoint, and go, in the mansion your first thought is “how i go down now”

I’d say there are exceptions to this “rule”. A lot of the time the AI just doesn’t do much other than die because they just had to go around the corner and get shot in the face even if you told them to stay behind the house. And if the rally point is far away/in a weird position, sure, destroy it. However if it’s close by I’d argue it might actually be useful to just go in with 1 soldier at a time. At least I like to leave my squad slightly behind so I can just instantly swap and clean up whoever managed to kill the first soldier.

I like doing creative things in game and using my whole squad. It’s more fun for me than bum rushing and I still get to help out by removing problems. I’m currently working on my anti-tank squads and getting the best load outs. Using the more advanced anti-tank systems in the game is pretty self explanatory and easy to accomplish a successful ambush but anti-tank rifles were obsolete during all of the campaigns but were stiff in heavy use because of necessity. Using the ATR is tricky. You need to be as close as you can safely be to maximize damage. Aim for vision slits to kill crew (this will usually cause panic more than anything since people are accustomed to ATRs not killing crew in one hit). If a more modern tank features armored glass over its slits you can shoot the sprockets or track to disable it. The tank can also be disabled with a molotov. The molotov MUST impact such that fire is burning over it’s engine. The entire burn animation must play; after that the engine will be destroyed (tank is disabled). Now that you have disabled the tank in whicher method you chose you must approach it and destroy it with an explosive pack placed underneath (all tanks die to packs placed there). Use a smoke to cover your approach if you must but be prepared to deal with the crew bailing out for a fight. Obviously if the tank is light it will probably just die to a pack anywhere you place it so this only is necessary for medium/heavy tanks.

No… never. Because assaulting a cap with a single guy , you simply won’t cap it until not a SINGLE enemy remains in cap. Even bots will count as fodder and tip the scale in your favour, thus allowing to capture (or prevent to capture) points. Plus, if someone wishes to keep his bots behind in a building, while he clears the area before calling them, it’s a choice he decided to make. Bots in atics are locked here and won’t follow any order, weither the player wishes his bots to remain there or not…

Destroy atics rally points. Always.

Edit: on a side note, if you find AN ENEMY rally point in an atic, DON’T destroy it! It will greatly impair their influx of soldiers, it’s a boon for your side.

It’s not like I’m alone against the whole enemy team right? If I can get to the point with 1 guy, there are probably allies near me otherwise I’ll just die as soon as I’m in the open and my bots will get mowed down right behind me. Plus the amount of artillery/grenades being thrown at the point usually means most of the bots will die anyway. But as I said, I’m not saying all attic rally points are fine, there are only a few that can be useful. However, I’ll admit that it is much “better” for defense than attacking.

The big problem here is that atic rally points won’t only impact you… but every team member unlucky enough to chose spawning there. Since the map is 2d you cannot know the point is situated in some weird spot, neither do your teammates. If say 5 friendly squad spawn there, it’s potentially 40 soldiers less on the battlefield to help! 40!!! (5 squads of 9 minus the players themselves) and even though bots are dumb, they ARE laser accurate when startled, they WILL gun you down and you WILL have to run all the way back from the atic to where you were, while potentially the whole enemy team will wait for you in their now comfortably defended point.

As I said I don’t think ALL attic rally points are fine. Those that are far/in a weird spot are NOT fine. If it’s close enough, it’s not much of a run back to the point. And if you really need all of your bots there with you you can jump down with them one at a time and then leave, most attics take ~ 2 seconds to jump down from. Also I only find laser accurate bots every once in ~300, the rest usually either ignore me or miss even if I miss them 2-3 times.

Edit:
I was not 100% correct. While it’s undeniable that atic rally points are a huge handicap for your team IN SQUAD mode…

They might be fantastic while in lone wolf mode. There’s no need to worry about bots here, and the majority (I hope) of human players will know how to use the atic hatch.
