You won’t get punked into a level 5 match with your level 3 Germans or level 3 Russians for that matter, that curse belongs “SOLELY” to the Allies and Japanese. Personally I think this is one reason there are less players for those two factions. Now I play about 75% with the Germans, 20% Russians and maybe 5% Allies, but that is level 5 Allies. I would go back to playing my level 3 Allies if DF would shit can their soft rule. 
Its definitely more healthy than having no armor at all.
Its a real shame you have to buy them with tickets they only come for assault engineers by default.
No, thats a ridiculous argument. You cant use “realism” as a logic while ignoring the massive disadvantages such plate would give.
Not to mention that plate stops FG42 and G41 - which it did not.
It doesn’t stop anything, it just reduces the DMG. Which is completely artificial gameplay stat.
Body armor is not making you invincible against anything.
Makes me think of the movie Roadhouse.

there are rifles with 27dmg they can still kill you in 1 shot i just tried it out in CB.
14.4 damage rifle calibers is the magic number affected. Wouldn’t be a problem if the damage was increased just a smidge to avoid this interaction.
If you want nerf russia you must also nerf germany, how about FG-42 only for paratrooper squads, yes the paratrooper assaulters.
There are 3 german paratrooper squads i think, thats enough FG-42s.
been asking for that since the get go. but its a bit besides the point, body armor will still work against smgs…as it should
Do you have Fallschirmjager Regiment Ramcke ? I just realized they are paratroopers but their symbol is from assaulter squads.

Unfortunately they arent on sale but they are prolly worth it if you give them FG-42 II’s
only soviet paratroopers can select their primary weapons. everyone else is stuck with what they are given

LOL, i always thought that was a bug… well maybe its historical then, but i dont remember german paratroopers using the beretta…
I think its because germans usually drop without their weapons and they get them from the steel boxes.
wow that actually makes the soviet paratroopers quite powerful dont you think you can use them on every BR, its strange that the others cannot change their weapons, i went into the game really quick and checked for the american event squads they are also unable to change their weapons its been ages i played usa but they are stuck with m1 carbines and the other one got some vickers british gun.

Maybe you should make a suggestion to change it to all airborne units being able to switch their weapons.
dont you worry, it has been on going ever since the announcement of the first soviet paratrooper. It is brought up alot
Maybe they dont want to change it for some reason, it makes the soviet paratroopers quite…mhm unique in a sense they have a multipurpose thanks to this, the simple fact that they both come with max BR weapons is quite cool you can basically give them to others squads you want to grind faster and then switch back, but on the other hand i think it would be a bit too powerful if the german FG squads could give their weapons to the general infantry especially the FG42 with grenade launcher.
