I recorded my screen showing my progress in the Normandy Campaign After 50 Hours of Gameplay. This is done with a Premium Account and Battle Pass. I also consider myself to be a very good player so don’t consider this to be what the “average” player can accomplish. The point of this is to show how grindy the current battle pass system is. However, with the introduction of main battle tasks, the grind should become much quicker so hopefully progression will be much faster than this for all.
So, Game is indeed and very clearly P2W…

If a guy using premium can only reach that far, imagine a F2P doing the same. The game is going to be a dumpster fire at this point considering one of the devs have said they are paywalling respecing your soldiers behind the premium currency. There’s also the fact that premium players can have more squads than F2P which is blatantly P2W.
I agree those are pay to win. Progress isn’t p2w. And honestly the grind isn’t that bad in my opinion.
you are lv 21/15 on 1 Campaign after 50h with premium account. now cut that in half or even more and u know where f2player are. So as F2p u need around 400h~ to finish 1 campaign and we have 4. You really think thats OK to grind? ^^
Except the higher levels take longer…? Like thats pretty obvious. 50 hours on a standard would be like level 15 and 11. Thats still lots of progress. Do you just expect to be able to unlock everything in a free to play in a day or something? Sorry, thats not how this works for any free to play.
Sorry but after 500+h in almost every game ur deep into Endgame ( or done ) and not just beginning ur grind.
If ur Progress would cover over from Campaign to Campaign it would be completly ok but i think you dont understand what 400+h ingame means. For a normal person thats 120days this times 4 and we are at 480days just to finish the “story” if u wanne call it like that.
You’ve obviously never played War Thunder, or most ftp games for that matter. And even better, games like Red Orchaestra 2 and Rising Storm take thousands of hours to unlock all upgrades for weapons, and those are paid games, yet I’m yet to hear a single person complain about the unlock time for RO2.
Currently at the rate I’m going if I had no premium (which will start soon btw) it would take me about 400 hours to unlock everything for both Moscow and Normandy. Sure maybe it could be a little faster but I don’t think it should be much faster.
Isnt War Thunder the worse grind there is in f2p? ( i heard very bad things) ^^.
Just to give u some examples of my accounts :
APB Reloaded : 1000h+ endgame after few weeks
Warframe : 600+h completly engame after 200~
World of Tanks : 900+h endgame after 300~
Eve Online : ???h endgame after a few month
Ragnarok Online + all the other Asia Grinders few thousand hours endgame after a few weeks
H&G :600h+ Endgame after a few weeks on 1 faction
Destiny 2 : 700h+ endgame after few weeks
i could go on and on and on with the f2p/p2p games ive grinded into endgame so to tell me i dont know anything is kinda funny. Yes i play alot and i dont care if a grind is long and tedious. But if u consider even some1 like me ( without prem account ) has to grind for 700h+ to reach the endgame i dont really know what to think of that.
Lmao you’re telling me you unlocked all tanks in World of Tanks in 300 hours? Thats obviously BS so that makes me question everything you’ve stated here on how long it takes you for these other games.
And I just said 400 hours to grind all 4 nations to endgame without premium. Thats 100 hours per nation. Nowhere near the 700 total you’re claiming.
i dont even know what to say anymore since you clearly dont understand what Endgame means. It clearly doesnt mean you have unlocked everything in the game because that would mean ur done with the game small difference i know.
And i did quick math for you that without premium account at YOUR current rate you wouldnt be finished with the Campaigns after 400h.
So endgame is whatever point you choose it to be? lol thats a good one. Also funny that you calculated that out. Cuz I calculated it out too, and after 100 hours of standard on one campaign I’d be Level 25 on that campaign with 150k XP left to have the ENTIRE campaign for that nation unlocked. Thats endgame by both of our standards unless you’re suddenly going to have different standards for this game than the others. Also weird that you consider decent progress in a handful of tech trees in World of Tanks to be endgame but that doesn’t apply here and you want full progress for all campaigns as your definition of endgame here
