I used a lot of mp43 from the corpses of German soldiers. Pretty sure it’s the same as the m1918+ smg and less recoil.
I play a lot every chance I always pick it up and play. And I’m sure it has quite a bit of recoil. You don’t sit and watch me play You never know how often I play. Because I like this gun too.

The M1 Thompson when maxed is the best CQC gun in the game (Suck my dick PPSh fan boys), which falls in line with how the US tends to operate in Normandy, that being the king at CQC and having the air power to cover the ground forces as they approach the point. Sure, the MP 43/1 is a more well rounded weapon, but thats what you get for playing the US. Don’t change or replace the M1, its a great weapon that works perfectly for everything I need it to do.

Sure the M2 carbine is good at CQC, but the M1 Thompson is no slouch either. Choosing between the two is basically this choice, a slightly more well rounded weapon with better a better range ability, or a weapon that has cleaner sights, faster ROF and slightly more damage at close quarters.
