Hot take: Enlisted was a better experience a year ago

I agree, the kill feed just doesn’t need it, it pisses me off too

Progression and optimization produced by players is inevitable.
It seems to me that developers should be bolder in dividing campaigns by type: Moscow - early warfare without a bunch of SMG and AR. Berlin-Normandy - much faster battles, more SMG AR.
Tunisia could also be more bolt-action.
People would have gone where they liked the concept

I’m not worried about it. Personally, I will choose a historical camouflage and number and make myself such a tank, is it bad?
Yes, many will want to fool around, but it seems there is no inscriptions from WT type: “Истребитель” (Figther), which was glued so that it was visible only “Ебитель” (Fucker)
It’s funny, but in Enlisted you don’t have to.
Customization of fighters seem to be quite normal, what’s wrong?

In short: that Panther screenshot with a Cold War Leopard tank “Gneisenau” decal and a bunch of balkenkreuz’s on the wheels.
I know you and I probably won’t make our tanks look like circus wagons, but others will be chomping at the bits to do so< and it will further ruin the last bits of immersion we have in the game.

I also feel like 40 levels is a mistake. Way too much both in terms of paper/prototype stuff, and in terms of making the higher unlocks more and more powerful.

Moscow would be fine if progression ended at level ~26 with drum PPD-40 (or replaced by PPSh-41) and MP 35/1 without AVS, ZH, MKb, T-34, Kiraly, etc and with limitation on automatic weapons as 1-3 per squad.

Well, it is inevitable, you can only limit the set of inscriptions.
Still, I see customization as more good than evil. I’m waiting for soldier customization in the rest of the campaign, I want to diversify my squads

It’s different for different campaigns. In Normandy, I don’t think 40 levels is a lot. I’ve made suggestions for new levels all the way up to 42.
I tend not to take paper weapons and only give them for gold cards. However, I do allow some experimental tech if it’s not critical and seems interesting.
So I suggested giving the Axis in Normandy a do-335 b-2, I know they were few, and there were more a-0 and a-1, but firstly the difference is only in the guns, and secondly a-0 and a-1 are meaningless in terms of balance.
Yes, you can just give the Axis ju number 2 (another big bomber), but it’s boring as far as I’m concerned.
In the form of premium vehicles I do not mind to see low-series vehicles such as Panther Erzatz and Pz.Bef.Wg.VI P

Then the game needs some additional purpose or it will die. HnG at least had the war mode which was pure copium people with decent interest for strategy etc. until they managed to kill that as well.

Also, it wont prevent people from spamming the good stuff anyway and a broken MG34 remains a broken MG34.

The Kiraly isnt even good. ZH as well.

So whats the point of a auto-squad then if you have the same amount of assaulters/ autos you could get one only on other squads as well?

I think that game itself is much better now, however back then it was fresh and we were hopefull about the future of the game. Now our expectations are faced with reality and not everyone likes where the game goes.

100%. If these things are not properly addressed, this game will stagnate for a while (IMO.) I honestly believe that automatics weapon spam will going ruin this game in the long run.

No it was 100% better.

A gridy WW2 shooter where everyone had bolts and crappy SMGs, early war tanks. Now in enlisted standard equipment is FGs, AVTs, AVSs, ZHs, MKBs. I mean wtf is this battlefield? I want to play an authentic ww2 game not another COD game

When game was in cbt i suggested limit how many many stronger squads/weapons we could spawn but almost every reply was same, ‘if i unlock something, i want use it without limit’

When I first saw it I was like

I play quite a lot of strategy games where it’s F-ing obvious that powerfull stuff is limited. And I was shocked that people have a problem with this.

Operation Harsh Doorstop might be up your alley, but it is in active development. I’m keeping an eye on that game, all things considered with Enlisted…

* I arrived at the same conclusion a few weeks ago. When I began Enlisted, you could have a fierce but fair battle done in less than 15 min. In my noob mind, grinding yours squads was more important than unlocking the next gun. I remember being killed by a MG for the first time after maybe ten games. Now I don’t even grind half of my squads. I have to play the same 6 until unlocking their next tier. I save tickets to equip all my squads with certains weapons and I don’t quit Normandy except once in a while to play on Berlin or Moscow, where the experience is usually very unpleasant.

* In fact, among my group of 7 players I’m the only one left. When I tried to make them come back in the game they were between lv8 and 15. This wasn’t fun for them. They have no good equipment, no fully unlocked squad and when they want to play tank they got right into a jumbo. While I can take care of it for them, it’s usually not before they are slaughtered. The only time we had fun together was during the “Space Nazi” event. No grind to be competitive, pure skill, pretty balanced and distinct from other FPSs.
