The loading of Soviet planes is really worse than that of German planes. Germany has two planes carrying 250kg bombs and one plane carrying 500kg bombs, while the Soviet Union only has low-charge rockets and 50kg bombs. I hope to replace the Soviet rockets with high-charge rockets or larger bombs.Such as RS132 and FAB250

Il-2 does have advantages in dog fighting. Plus it’s a flying tank. It can take a full load from the Stuka and still fly like nothing happened at all.
IL 2 trades bigger bombs for armor, cannons and rockets.
Stukas only notable feature is the bomb.

Cause the German tankers are too lazy to aim.
And dogfights are pretty broken right now where all planes except biplanes consume bullets and shells like sponges.

Try to get to SB-2M.
It can drop three 100kg x 2 bombs, so it can cause tremendous damage over a wide area.
You can easily blow up 20-40 German soldiers at a time and turn the tide of the battlefield.
The SB-2M is the perfect aircraft to settle a grudge against the bomb spamming by the Germans so far, but the downside is that it has no means of self-defense.
But it is very fun.

I have to agree. I feel pretty strong in my IL-2. As long as I don’tr fuck it up, I am able down many enemy planes.
Even if the are in my six I can outrun them into safe zone and come back for revenge.
And even if the bombs are not big, they are enough to get some nice kill feeds. And finally rockets are cool too, got some pretty tank kills with it.
i played the IL2 worth nothing cant fight against nothing, cant attack ground targets properly, is slow, has bad turn rate, very heavy, it is pretty much a in game BF109 E7 but with useless rockets and slow AF

the rockets suposly are to attack tanks… probably like bob semple but not in game ones
they re hard to aim and when you have one year of lucky in a day you can make their tracks yellow
these planes can get a equally or better loadout than ju but instead they decided to go with lowest rockets and lowest bombs that il2 can carry
these IL2 can carry at most 4 x 100 kg FAB-100 bombs + 8 x RBS-132 rockets
you got lucky if you can kill 12 ground troops
biplanes do little damage but sufficent to shoot down you
ATTACK PLANES ARE FOR ATTACK GROUND TARGET NOT ONLY TO RESIST SHOTS
i think that germany that has more armored tanks should face bigger bombs
and ussr that has lower armored tanks should face smaller bombs
T60, T26, BT7 can be easily killed by 50kg bombs probably 1 out 5 times
while
PZ3B, PZ3E, PZ3J, PZ4E cant be killed by 50kg bombs or rockets i havent seen any of these tanks killed by 50kg bombs, just PZ2 with rockets but once every 20 matches and some PZ3 but very very rare, probably once every 60 matches and always in a suicide attack against an immobilized tank
and rockets are unusable when tanks are between houses or trees in some maps are pretty useless like in monastery or pokrovskoe
and no these rockets arent designed for infantry, RBS are armor piercing with little explosive not even HEAT(high explosive anti tank), anti infantry ones are RS these are high explosive instead

the Il-2 has NO advantages dogfighting - the 20mm cannon can shoot things down, but if anyone competent tries dogfighting against you they win - end of story.
You only get kills when they don’t know how to maneuver. Fortunately that is quite often!

100kg bombs kill any tank, just requires accuracy.
Rockets destroy Panzer IVEs through the top armor with one hit. Ofcourse the hard part is seeing them, but it works well.
I have to admit I dont think soviet tanks are better. I just think they feel better to drive around in. But not in combat.
You don’t get accuracy with soviet bombs - they can’t dive bomb and there’s no bomb sights - it is pure guesswork.
And yes rockets can kill any tank - but they have to hit first - and they are seriously (and perfectly reasonably IMO) inaccurate.
no idea why you would compare it to a fighter - but it does kill things - but it is really only any use against infantry, and then it is all guesswork - you have to get the spawn points and common movement routes.
if you get behind any a/c it kills them pretty readily - even 109F’s

Only problem with Soviet attack aircraft is the Pe-3 in my experience. No idea what the reasoning was for putting only anti-tank missiles that have so little splash on such an unmanuverable plane. The others are good enough though.

I would like certain planes to show up, Like Ju 87 G-1s and 2s. This is the only setting where they could be some fun.
Yes I gave a bit of a rant about the Pe-3 when I first got it and found no bombs!!
One of the problems is that bombs are too good in the game compared to real life™ - they are far too accurate - the reason everyone went to rockets is that a fighter bomber or light bomber would be good to get a bomb within a few hundred meters of a point target - with rockets the miss distances are likely to “only” be 50-100m or thereabouts!
Hahahaha hit the top armor with such low accuracy you must be at 100m, what happen when you flight at 100m 90Âş to the ground?

show me a vid of a in game panzer IV destroyed by a rocket of an IL-2, its very easy you just need to hit the top armor…
ok they re fine while germany can kill 2 tanks + 10 soldiers using one 250kg
germany planes are very easy to use can dive bomb and has high loadout perfect for noob players

Look how things are, ussr tankist not only has to face better enemy tanks that even pz2 can destroy a BT7 or T28(try to kill a pz4 with T60) the panzersbusche is very effective against every tank up to t50, the enemy in tank ammo is pretty hard to ignite(you need at least 3 or 4 well placed shots) soviet one is pretty easy, the germany has the installable pak 50mm better than 45mm, has to face throwable explosives, molotovs, and on top of that planes, these planes are more dangerous than other tanks i can kill outperforming tanks like bt7 vs PZ4E even some biplanes but kill an stuka using a tank is pretty hard even using the flak AA they just see you shooting, strafe and dive bomb you
i seen some matches impossible to win they just keep bombing and i have to mount several AAs even with that it cost me a lot take down any stuka
it is pretty frustrating you re doing well but a braindead stuka player can make your match a nightmare
is pretty hard to survive a 250kg bomb in a tank you cant run anywhere just die probably i died 9 out 10 stuka dive bombs
oh being a soldier is worst even in houses you re not safe the 250kg bombs can kill you even if you re inside a brick house, and ussr usually doesnt use planes because they sucks(even IL2 needs a lot of ammo to kill an stuka even sometimes biplanes are hard to kill) so usually we dont have any air defense so you keep being killed and respawn again to be killed by the same guy in a stuka
why would you be 90 degrees to the ground. It detonates on impact and the fragments penetrate. and kill.
I don’t see why killing panzer IV’s is an issue with 100kg bombs (is it harder? yeah sure. but not worth the crying going on about it). Its easy enough to kill panthers in berlin with those same bombs.
I tell you that Id love those 23mm cannons everytime i get on another plane with my 2 mgs. Takes a long time to get anything done. IL 2 is quite nice. I enjoy flying it
Ok you even didnt know whats is in game
- the rockets arent HEAT or HE, they re like a tank shell so you need a direct hit at 90 to an armor that has less than 50mm if your angle of attack is 60Âş doesnt pen.
- the precision is pretty bad you need to hit them very close 50-100 m or you dont gonna hit anything.
- the IL2 doesnt have 100kg bombs it has 4x50kg, the only plane that has 100kg bombs is the sb2m is the last attack plane so good luck grind.
- i said using rockets not bombs (you even read).
- moscow il2 doesnt have 23mm only 20mm they re pretty different cannons even if only differ 3mm.
and if you read carefully this is about moscow campaing not berlin they arent the same planes nor the same tanks.
