Honestly just copy the maps from Battlefield 5

It reminded me of a speech at the end of console MoH.

I’m not quite sure about your standards, but most maps of BFV can pick out some locations that are directly related to reality. Because DICE did indeed do map stitching (e.g. placing two locations that are actually several kilometers apart on both sides of a street), and they did not use “historical accuracy” as a promotional theme (Instead, deliberately selecting some less well-known battles), “generic locations” is in a sense an misconception.

Then let’s talk about Enlisted. Take the recent update as an example: we have the Hürtgen Forest which belongs to the Battle of the Bulge.

I’m talkong about such generic maps as panzerstorm. While I like to play on it, it’s simply some random farm with no visible ww2 connection.
Sure, genrric maps are also needed and we already have plenty of them, but I don’t feel like we should focus on them.

Though maybe I don’t remember something and BFV really does have maps connected to irl locations. Though not iconic ones.

Based on this example, I think you are referring to maps with famous battles as the background, where clear photo comparisons can be found? From a positive perspective, all players definitely hope that the map can be designed like this, after all, almost all the replies in the post are talking about Iwo Jima.

This type of map will definitely hard to reconstruct, and it is also difficult to adapt to the Enlisted‘s style of cutting out different areas on a large map as, what they called “missions”, which should not be ignored the most. As you mentioned, Enlisted already have plenty of this type of maps with random structures with no visible WW2 connection, and I suspect that almost all maps except the ones in Berlin and Stalingrad can be described like this.

The 1:1 copy mentioned by WarFrog___935 was clearly not carefully considered. As people mentioned earlier, Battlefield was designed for 32vs32, while Enlisted was 10vs10 with over 100 Bots. If Darkflow wants to find inspiration from Battlefield, of course it will not be Panzerstrom as it is that type of generic maps where can be in any war.
