i still hold close the report that i read
from the village of eshnychskaya in 1943 where the germans were attacking the village
21 russian tank loses to one german tank lost, out of 6 panzer v’s
now sure one can say that im cerry picking but there are plenty more reports like this
ohh i have and i would aruge that it makes minimal difference
Could be, but id guess its more of a fact that you have fairly limited amount of magazines to start with two (2)
Which takes some time and effort to reload.
And with rof of ppsh those 2 mags wont last very long.
And probably many were.
Source ?
Since its more than fairly well known that ppsh41 had the drum magazine issue thru-out entire war.
Genuinely asking since I know more than few gun collectors that would happily get few more spare drum mags to theyr PPSh.
No, it’s just that they don’t send you anywhere on the T34 and several tanks don’t shoot you in the back. In fact, tanks were used differently by different sides, the USSR and the USA did not have an analogue of tank divisions. Therefore, the use and losses were different.
But it is shown there that shortly after the restoration of production due to evacuation, drum magazines from one PPSh approach another PPSh. Naturally, production is going according to plan - 1 pc with a drum magazine + 2 drum magazines.
It also shows the differences between early drum magazines and later ones.
Pardon me, probably because im not wearing glasses.
But where exactly did they exchange magazines from other gun to other ?
I must have missed that part.
