well, if you don’t have engy, you can use halftrucks.

if you don’t have halftrucks you can use engy.

if you don’t have both, you can relay on someone that have any of them two.

It’s a complement.
helps to get things done.

because not everyone has enginners.

you can have this thing around and move it instead of place all the stuff your self or re replace them if those get destroyed.

it’s always something more to have in order to accompany your team.
if not everyone has time to set up ammo boxes or medical thingies, you can use them.

And not everyone will have APC. More over engineer is more accesable than APC on top of being better.

Why would I spend 30s driving an APC instead of building an ammo box in 10s?
So I can have 100 supplies that I won’t be able to use because they will be destroyed by the first enemy who gets to them?

people will sooner have engineers than half track. it would be around lvl 10-20 before first half track is even fit into level progression, and on most campaigns engineers is on lvl 3-4. and then you just need to bring any squad to level 3 to get engineer.

yes, not everyone will have apcs.

but for those who wants the option, and can use them properly, i don’t see why not.

enginners aren’t really or necessary better, are just different.

because you don’t always spawn on the point?

well, campaign reworks is another topic for another time.

regarding the halftruck it’s supposely be acessible for those who wants it.

and… not everyone that is at latter levels uses enginners.

you might think that i’m saying this to favor my thread, but i’m not joking for how hard it sounds like, but not everyone has enginneer in their squad. or use them.

They are better.
APC gives you more ammo but you don’t really need it. One ammo box is enough.
Engineer is easier to hide, isn’t a TNT magnet, can build other things than ammo boxes (like rally point), can build everywhere, can be put into every squad.

I have a rally for that. I used my engineer to build it.

and i can prove you tons of other scenarios where it doesn’t.

and those people will never use half track that is more or less pure support vehicle. specially with loads of tanks and planes they could use instead.

which we could argue the same could go for halftrucks, but as it gets dirtier, you can place halftrucks somewhere close the objective hidden, and use it when you have time.

which, majority of the time once a combat finish, no matter what happens, enginners can and will most likely die.

so that’s why in an halftruck, they can be a bit covered, and still be used for their utility.

it’s a plus on top of what you have.

doesn’t necessarely replace them.

( technically, if we take as example the confrontation mod, that’s where halftrucks can shine as being mobile )
