I’ve tried everything, and I’ve asked around. Can I get an answer from the devs, or from someone who knows for sure, how to actually make use of those parachute packs that every one of my pilots seem to have, but none of them can actually use?
I’ve scoured the keybindings for it… there’s no “controls” option with the words “parachute,” “bail,” “eject,” or anything of the like. Please help.
(And yes, for the record I have tried “F” and also “J” and also every other letter on the keyboard multiple times, over the zone, to no avail.)
the default is “F” to bail and “space” to open up parachute (there’s a hint which key to press when you fall to the ground). maybe try doing it in practice mode first. Also parachute need certain height to open up and land safely
Thank you for the suggestion. I have tried practice mode, as well as live matches. I’ve seen absolutely no indicators regarding anything that’s required to activate this feature, and have tried pressing “F” multiple times at different points on the map. Can you tell me, when you do this, do you see “F to eject” as an option once you reach a certain altitude? That’s the only variable I can think that I haven’t specifically gone out of my way to try.
Where does the Enlisted team provide which altitudes are required for ejection? There doesn’t seem to be any documentation on how this feature actually works, anywhere.
I mean, there’s no required altitudes for ejection (you can hold F to eject anywhere), but sometime you don’t have enough altitudes to actually survive the landing even if you open the parachute
Man, I’m not doing that… I’ve made so many changes, I would have to screenshot every page of their confusing keybinding section and restore it manually.
That being said, there is no keybinding option for anything involving the “F” key - I’ve tried. I actually wrote a post about it, because I wanted to use “F” for machine-gun fire while in tanks, because that’s what I was used to from War Thunder. But upon looking for “enter/exit vehicle,” I could not find any key-binding options for that functions. So “F” is apparently off the table for anything involving customization or modification.
So are you unable to exit any vehicle at any time? I believe the key binding for exit is the same for all vehicles.
It’s improbable that you specifically don’t have a keybind option that everyone else does. The most likely scenario is that you are looking in the wrong place or for the wrong keybind.
It is very, very, but very simple to use the Parachute:
Make sure your pilot has a parachute on his backpack slot, can’t be any other bag, just the parachute on the backpack, but you are free the others slots as you want with sub-guns, pistols, 1 grenade, 1 mine, 1 one medic kit or repair kit.
Go to Plane and Press F (or the exit vehicle key) → for safe land, pull your nose up or jump above 400 meters.
After you jump off the plane, and you start to fall, it will show a message with the key to open the parachute.
Which button do you get in to vehicles, pick up guns and activate stuff with ? its most likely the same button.
But if you cant find it and are not willing to go back to default or youre not able to find the use button (others) in the settings perhaps, well then its nothing more for us to do for you i think. Someone else asked the same question earlier with the same answers and didnt got it solved so…

Yep ^ - Always a parachute. The game made it that way with the update and I can’t change it even if I want to.

Check. “F” is the only “exit vehicle” key, it won’t let you change it as I’ve tried before for reasons mentioned above.

Well clearly it’s not, because I can’t do it. But you’ve gone to the trouble of screenshotting your experience after leaving the plane and even circling that indicator for me, which I certainly appreciate. Would you be willing to screenshot your notification that tells you “press F to leave vehicle” while in a plane? I’ve gotten an indicator that says “press F to use” while flying, to which I do not know what the game is referring, but that’s about it.

Tell me where it is and please screenshot. I’ve been scouring this menu for an “enter/exit” or “leave vehicle” keybinding since downloading the game last year. I would love to know that I’m wrong about this, and how.
yep youre not the only one not wiling to fix it by either check if the use button in other section works and didnt even answer whats the button you go in and out from both tanks with along with activation key for other things. And in the end didnt want as last resort to reset to default keys as an last solving thing so yeah i guess some wont want it to be fixed and might just be… because there is no menu that clearly say so kind of thing ^^ Then say so
Your diatribe is barely discernible hoestly, but I will say this: send me a screenshot of where the keybinding option is for “enter/leave vehicle,” “eject” or “bail-out,” and THEN you can say that I didn’t check the “use button in other section works,” if that’s even what you meant. Unless you can show me how I’m going wrong somewhere, by citing a specific binding option that I’m not seeing (and showing me a screenshot), then the default position has to be that this is a problem with the game. I certainly didn’t program this issue in.
I have answered this, multiple times. I’m gathering that English is not your first language, which no harm no foul. But my answer has always and consistently been “F.” “F” to enter and leave tank, “F” to use other objects in the environment. I have made no secret about this. But it doesn’t work in the plane, and I can’t change it! I don’t know what is so complicated about this. It’s like you don’t believe me or something.
I should not be expected to reset all my settings to default (because they were so crappy to begin with) in the vain hope that somehow this will solve my predicament, and then when that doesn’t work, have to go back and reset them all. It was enough of a pain in the ass the first time. That is an absurd recommendation and is basically placing the blame on the user who is experiencing an issue that they have no control over.
So you’re right, I’m not gonna do that. Again, I opened this thread by asking anyone who was directly involved in game production to help, or someone who knows for sure. You don’t sound like someone who knows for sure, so please quit acting like this is somehow an oversight on my part. Show me some proof.
At this point I’m just resigned to crashing my plane instead of bailing out, who cares, not even worth the trouble to find out.
If anything, reinstalling this constantly patched monstrosity will probably be the only way to fix anything. I haven’t refused any updates, you’re not even able to. I’ll let you know with an update if I care enough to even do that at this point.
Explains it and i get that youre frustrated. But since you wont even try out how to fix it even if i said try out to switch in the other settings (use or below buttons perhaps which has the same keybind as the original but shouldnt be since it wont work), nor want it to be fixed because of an agenda it seems thats why i react to it
When people take their time to try and help you getting it fixed and you say its a shitty system that its not there…well then i make 1+1. If you think its a bad system instead of asking and making it vague, make an thread about it instead with an clear message
