I play other strategy games like Total War and Mount and Blade, and I think the command line of our little bot buddies is pretty weak. I’m disappointed because they die very quickly and don’t throw grenades.
It should have more command options using the F1, F2, F3, F4 keys like in Mount and Blade.
what do you guys think?
PS (Sorry for any mistake, english is not my frist lenguage.)
Hopefully eventually we’ll at least see somewhat RTS tier intelligence for AI, similar to the one in call to arms. But I doubt it. At least the latest improvements are fine and AI lead squads are doing much better with new squad loadouts and high tier weapons. Plus Keo said they’re working on rally points being available for the bots to spawn on. Perhaps increase the chance for AI squads to build rallies, and we’ll have much more efficient push/defence even with fewer players on team.

Video game industry drop its standards when Activision bough Blizzard. You can pin point this moment as the downfall of quality of service for video games.
I’d already be cool if the AI-members wouldn’t act counterproductive as they do currently.
I’d rather see them die quickly than standing in my line of fire or blocking the completion of a construction.
Seriously, the AI-members are no help at all - they are more an obstacle currently.
I think the comparison is an old game called Brother in Arms. That is a pretty good game, but if you recreated it in Enlisted it would be pretty hardcore.
Not sure why so many are pretending like this game doesn’t have any strategy lol
There is the direction of attack/defense and proper rally placement
The squad and vehicle compositions you run with [And the equipment you have prepped for them pre-game]
Your reactions and responses to the enemies’ decisions, especially around timed attacks like Artillery/Air strikes
Proper squad management and placement of your troops to keep them alive and getting kills.
Along with so much more.
Just because, at its core, all that needs to be done is “Cap/defend the objective” doesn’t mean this game doesn’t have any strategy. There will always be a skill ceiling for players who employ proper strategy.
That reductionist perspective will make anything seem like it has no depth.
