Halftracks and playing field

Weird never spawned here

I spawned there only once. The ways of how code works are mysterious.

Regardless there’s a serious rework needed. Even with big maps, objectives need to be reworked to prevent dogpiling and tanking performance with the higher player counts.

Something like how vehicle selection worked during testing for RB Enduring Confrontation in War Thunder would be kino.
If you aren’t familiar, you earned points over time to be able to spawn in better vehicles, and there was a baseline you could always spawn.
So it could cost less time to spawn a transport in than a tank.

RB EC was removed of course because the game mode was just rampant spawnkilling

Absolutely!

I’m proposing some base line idea, but all the details and tweaks needed, well DF would have to do something.

Just hoping for a campaign rework/new major game mode/ more goodies as sidegrades. Anything but a seventh campaign…

My old idea for reworking objectives was essentially what turned into the destruction game mode, except I (then and now) would prefer 4 or 5 bombs at a time instead of 2.

I think that for halftracks to work, rally points would have to be removed completely. Move spawn points farther back and give all squads a transport.

The idea of hauling other players around, it doesn’t work as rewarding gameplay and is absurd as far as authenticity is concerned. APC is not a taxi, it gets the squad assigned to it into combat and then provides fire support.

Do that and the only major conceptual problem left would be the potential clutter on the map. There’s a number of ways to solve it, but I won’t go too far into it as even what I’ve described is more work than they’ve done in five years since this game has been announced.

idea seems even worse than detonation now. it would be impossible to defend for defenders.

Could trim attacker reinforcements and/or fortify the objectives better.
And to stop zergs from forming the points would advance when the majority go down.

Won’t work. Doesn’t matter how much you “trim reinforcements”, it’s just bad gameplay. 4-5 objectives to defend at a time means the enemy will get 3-4 objectives for free.

Even 2 objectives at a time doesn’t work when there is no meaningful positioning outside of premade stacks. That mode only truly works when both teams spread evenly like bots and don’t try anything too creative.

i just imagine average 2 players per point and then 4-5 attackers zerg those 2 players. or people just abandon defending few points to concentrate defense on 2-3 points. in game where you hardly get 1-2 rally points built, i cant imagine having 4-5 points to defend.

And then there’s an even worse scenario which I’ve seen many times even with two points. Attackers focus on one point and quickly take it. In the meantime defenders try to react, but it only leads to them being out of position to defend the other point as well.

That mode only works for full premade teams and full bot teams. Adjusting the numbers doesn’t do anything. You get more even win/loss ratio, but bad gameplay remains.

It’s a conceptually bad mode for this game. It may work on super tiny maps in other games because there you have time to meaningfully react as a defender. It doesn’t work this way in Enlisted and never will unless they place points right next to each other, largely defeating the purpose.

or when there is one detonation zone left and it is impossible to win as attacker cause defenders zerg on it with explosive packs.

there are many scenarios where detonation can really suck. only worse game modes for me are assault and conquest. one cause it is shitty in solo and other cause there is lack of action (more often you just run from one cap to another). some maps even have decent conquest, but in most campaigns it is auto quit.

Indeed. And the root problem is the same in all cases. There is no meaningful positioning in Enlisted. Best case scenario - you have two teams grinding against each other until one team comes out on top (or more likely until the other team quits).

There were a lot of them, so everything is fine.

No one can be sure of that xD

not really

motorization was an issue for germany, USSR, italy, and somewhat UK.

( matter of fact, they either had their own halftrack which were still not enough and outnumbered by tanks, ( for germany ) or had to borrow some from other nations. ( literally anyone else ) could be cool the japanese halftruck though )

and it’s not like giving halftracks to everyone is gonna do much good. it’s gonna be quite the opposite of “everything fine”.

““sorry”” to disappoint you, but i’m not cenadian ( i probably misspent that too )

Should I remind you that we have a Volkssturm running with the fg42-2, of which there were hardly a couple of thousand?

Definitely half trucks should have a limit on the simultaneous number on the battlefield (like tanks, but their own).

But there is nothing wrong with placing them at the beginning of the progression.

Well, if add them, then add them first of all to Normandy, since the Americans and Germans have quite well-known and mass copies.

Shame

Btw

Why do you have the main villain of Wolfenstein 2 on your icon?

yes.

but no.

it’s a bad idea to give them at the beginning.

period.

it’s not here. dunno where you are getting that from. perhaps you need a new pair of glasses ( or one to begin with )

you notice… differences. right?

i don’t… really have to go over it, right?

who am i kidding. of course. you gotta explain everything these days.

well, first and fore most, the profile that i’m currently using, doesn’t exist anywhere. it’s an AI generated image with alot of PH from my part.

matter of fact, the shirt doesn’t exist. because it’s invented.
second of all, the collar tabs, are of the rank Leutnant in the luftwaffe.
( cuz my favorite units in enlisted, are planes. )
and third, the hair cut is different.

now, i don’t… really know much about wolfeinstain, because i never played it, and never will, but judging by the picture, she is much older, from the SS, and eyes are blue. not green.

so yeah… they ain’t the same person :woman_shrugging:

Some years of difference but is pretty similar to wolfestein villain
