Grenade Balance overall adjustments, not just Impact Grenades

Never I’m living in BR5 forever I’ve already had to make a second account and I’ve climbed back up to the top and I will not downgrade my equipment just to go down a level.

You could always try shooting them down before they shoot you down.

Then don’t complain about it being exactly what I described. If you chose to exclusively play the BR directly crafted to be the most chaotic, don’t complain about it being chaotic.

I’m a ground pounder not a fly boy.

That may be true but there should be no reason why there’s that many explosive packs at that level and if they do plan to nerf impact grenades the same should apply to explosive packs as well.

You’re playing Top Tier, you should have learned how to juggle all of these roles by now.

The reason there are so many det packs at that BR is because tanks keep giving people opportunities to use them. Det packs have been nerfed against infantry so they aren’t the premiere multipurpose grenade anymore, which means the only reason people use them is because they are good at killing tanks. And with the stipulations on det packs I have laid out in previous comments, this means there is a large number of tanks that are out of place and without infantry cover, thus leading people to bring the tool most effective against such tanks. You want people to stop bringing det packs over frags or Molotovs, stop spamming tanks in such a way. It’s as simple as that.

F2P players cannot bring so many toys to the table and tanks at that level should be killed by anti tank weapons not the all magical explosive pack.

There are multirole attacker aircraft at top tier for all nations like the P-47, Fw 190 and the IL series. If you learn to fly those, you will be fine.

Also, if tanks didn’t want to get killed by det packs, they shouldn’t have entered det pack range without infantry cover. It’s as simple as that. And don’t say it’s not realistic, because the det pack is supposed to represent everything an infantry man can do to a tank without access to AT weapons, which as it turns out, is quite a lot.

Not gonna become a fly boy and when it comes to what you can do to tanks they could damage the optical site or put mud in the viewports

Infantry could throw the tracks on tanks, shot through the hatches, disable the tank by doing a number of things to the engine deck, or in the case of German or Russian tanks, plant explosives on the tank chassis and let the spall do the rest. Tanks were not nearly as indestructible as everyone thinks they are today, especially in WW2.

And all that required close contact with a tank (like climbing on it).
And TNT simulates this very well (ppl actually do climb on tanks). Unlike explosive pack that can be yeeted from 10m away from relative safety.

I would have no problem if we could do all that but my only problem is with the Jack of all trades explosive pack

I love TNT, I was hesitant to spend silver orders (wow feel old saying that) on it when it first came out since I was so used to using explosive packs, flash forward to now where my go to method to destroying tanks is climbing on top of the turret to place TNT on the commanders hatch. Finally convinced me to swap out my explosive packs for grenades.

Exactly. It’s just as effective though a bit more dangerous. And I’d say it’s much more fun.

Personally I almost haven’t used explosive packs since the merge (exception being my MG gunner as he uses AP mine). I just don’t need to, I have: TNT, AT rifles/launchers, AT cannons, AT rifle grenades (a bit dirty) and finally tanks and planes. Ppl who say EPs are essential don’t know a damn. They are convenient, too convenient, but not essential.

(For record, I have exactly one AT soldier and one engineer squad in my lineup. For all those “hur dur I won’t have AT stuff when I need it” ppl.)

Same, only guys I have equipped with Explosive packs are my AT guys throughout my different squads

I can not tell you how much fun I’ve had crawling under tanks, placing a TNT, and just suiciding, it’s especially gratifying when it’s done against a greyzone camper. Way more fun than just hucking an explosive pack under it.

I also have them on my AT guy, I use it so often forgot :upside_down_face:

Personally I always try to run away. I like to save my lives even though it’s pointless.
Also it has a bit of a movie, running from explosion vibe.

It would be nice to be able to throw an Explosive Pack 50 meters. I probably don’t need an AT on my team, and using an Explosive Pack can destroy heavily armored tanks. You have to throw it to the side or above, and the Explosive Pack takes a higher skill than the AT to use.

Getting blown to bits when pushing up is fine if its done by an AT weapon, as that actually requires an AT soldier, but when its nearly the ONLY grenade that people carry on ALL their units, because it gives ALL soldiers the ability to kill tanks with ease, then there is a problem.

Tanks should be an actual challenge to overcome by infantry, not just free points by throwing a grenade in their direction.

THIS is 100% my point.

I need to see some video evidence as I have never seen this happen.

this point makes a lot of sense to me

I could get on board with this. I’d prefer to see them gone.

No thanks. They are in a good place right now.

Yeah, they’re not very effective right now.

I think they’re a bit weak but probably should stay that way.

Meh. I don’t care either way.

Agreed.
