This is an addendum to my previous post
It is a waste of opportunity that Gold Order vehicles are nothing more than a skin of an existing vehicle. Imagine how ridiculous it would be if we have 10 of the same exact vehicle and the only difference being a skin; when they should just be skins for the single vehicle.
Gold Order Vehicles should be just like Gold Order Weapons, special and unique. I’m sure all of us are always anticipating the next Battlepass season just to see what new weapons we’ll get. Gold Order Vehicles would be lesser known , rare, prototype, experimental, or just very unique vehicles. And I find little to critique since Gold Order weapons are all rare, prototype, experimental, etc, so there should be nothing wrong with seeing rare, prototype, experimental vehicles.
Now one argument some of you will say is, “But Gold Order Vehicles give you a max level version of an existing vehicle before you unlock it in the campaign!”. I find that point moot because my Gold Vehicle suggestion basically fulfills the same idea, not to mention it’s the same exact principle of Gold Order weapons. For example, what is the W.A.R but just a slightly different B.A.R. Well you wouldn’t have to fret about having to wait til level whatever to get a certain vehicle, if for the time being you can get a Gold Order vehicle that fulfills roughly the same role. At the end of the day, Gold Order vehicles would just be yet another toy in this awesome sandbox.
Here are some examples that would be fitting Gold Order Vehicles. (Note that just like the current Gold Order vehicles are tanks and planes, under my idea there would be tank and plane Gold vehicles, I was just only looking for tanks)
United States:
M38 Wolfhound, replacement for the M8 Greyhound
M19 Multiple Gun Carriage, anti-air tank built on the M24 Chaffee chassis
United Kingdom:
Grizzly I, a Canadian built M4 Sherman derivative
Skink, anti-air tank built on the Grizzly I chassis, saw some combat near the end of the war
Ram, Canadian tank built on the M3 chassis
Soviet Union:
ZiS-30, light tank destroyer built on a tractor during the initial chaos of the German invasion
Germany:
VK 16.02 Leopard, light tank that was intended to replace the Panzer II
Heuschrecke 10, self propelled howitzer that was scheduled for mass production near the end of the war
Pz. Sfl. II, half-track tank destroyer, two were made and they were sent to fight in North Africa
Pz. Sfl. Ic, light tank destroyer used on the Eastern Front
Japan:
Type 5 Ho-To, light assault gun built on the Ha-Go chassis
Type 5 Ho-Ru, light tank destroyer built on the Ha-Go chassis
