The gold vehicles ingame now are just reskins of vehicles that can be obtained through the campaign. Meanwhile gold weapon orders allow for more interesting weapons, that cannot be obtained through the campaign.
What I propose to make the gold vehicle orders more interesting is to add vehicles that cannot be obtained through the campaign or be bought in logistics. They would be more powerful than the campaign vehicles, but not as good as the bought vehicles.
For example for the Pacific allies they could get the P-40 (like the one in Tunisia but with a shark mouth) and the Japanese could get the Ki-43-II with two 100lb bombs for aircraft, and for ground vehicles, the Americans could get the M5A1, and the Japanese could get the Chi-He.
The (proposed) vehicles would not be fully upgraded like the gold order vehicles that we get now.
(Summary: My idea is that gold order vehicles could be unique and interesting vehicles for their campaigns, instead of reskins of vehicles that can be obtained through the campaign)
Sure, I would love that and I could think of a dozen tanks, that would be fitting for this, BUT:
Creating a unique vehicle is a lot more work, than creating a unique gun or unique soldier.
The vehicles I’m thinking of are vehicles taken from War Thunder.
I tried to find interesting vehicles that were not added from WT and would be interesting and not OP.
I really agree with the idea. Gold order always confuse me because I have upgraded almost all vehicles I need and I wanna something interesting, not a skin.
But the current situation is that you can see unique vehicles in the shop. Not in gold order but in gold : (
I think actual gold order vehicle should be a little better than their original version. Something like ?% more speed, + ammo, + turret rotation speed, etc. Or if its a plane maybe + 1 shot of missile or bomb. A little something that would made us want it cause its better
I’ve had a similar idea, although instead they don’t necessarily have to be more powerful but have unique niches compared to the other vehicles in game. For example, the Sd. Kfz. 234/1
Yeah, I have fallen into that few days ago, because of gold order weapons and soldiers I was certain that the gold vehicles will be great also, so I didnt really was checking out the stats when I was buying. In my interest was the Soviet plane with rockets on Moscow campaign, as I was great with it already.
So I have bought one, turns out its totally the same as the plane I have already, but with stripe camo added and slightly worse stats LOL
Wish I could refund it but well, harsh lesson learned xD
Possibility to buy prototype tanks that were actually used in combat with gold vehicle orders.
There are tanks such as Turan III, Black Prince, Sturer Emil that only seen trials or prototype stage but did see combat use.
These wouldnt be available through progression to prevent spam.
The Japenese gold vehicle choice is a joke. 3 level 9 Ha Go reskins. (worst tank in the game) . At least Americans get a level 30 AP1 to consider. Focus was clearly on Premium squad p2p. Devs need consider that this map will die off.
