DISCLAIMER:
as usual, this suggestion is not a priority.
just something that i thought it would have been nice and something that i would personally like to see in enlisted in the future before a cosmetic system will be in sight.
greetings,
today i would like to discuss and present my cosmetic improvement idea for the gold order troopers.
in the meanwhile, add existing real life soldiers and non to this game.
( which for those that doesn’t know, i highly suggest to check this awesome thread )
https://forum.enlisted.net/t/list-of-the-real-war-heroes-presented-ingame/25376
as we probably know, a cosmetic shop will not appear up until few years from where we currently are.
( be it for a cosmetic system not even being started to be made for obv reasons, or be it because as i previously mentioned, many things comes first in terms of priorities ) so in the meanwhile, i’d like to add some soldiers on this list, and make gold order troopers unique in terms of appearance inside enlisted.
In this idea, i will cover my own idea of what i would like to see in order to make those gold order trooper feel a bit special and unique ( and to also justify the price of 750 golds for each while increase reasons for it )
but any other input from the community of what they would like to see and furthermore their own examples, are always welcome.
For the sake of manners, do not go off topic, or starting to debate about others example submissions. ( unless they mention some political figure that should not be present / wouldn’t fit or don’t make sense inside to be on the front line in enlisted ). after all, it’s about cosmetics.
so, without further do, let’s start:
How do THEY work?
the main idea would be that once you acquired a gold order trooper, those last comes with an unique appearance/ clothing and/or details that cannot be overwritten by the normal standard selection squads like it normally happens.
those gold order soldiers can be based ( or not ) from actual real life soldiers.
( again, it’s not necessary. as this main concept idea would be more focused on cosmetics. the reason why i mention real life soldier is because of the gear that they equipped and were wearing and following the same game rules when it comes to gold oders. it’s almost like a tradition that i must continue )
What will change?
the main idea as previously mentioned, those soldiers will have unique details or historical accurate outfits that might be slightly different to the rest of the squad. but the color of the uniform if possible, should/could match the rest of “theme” of the squads based on the players preferences. so that he can eventually blend in instead of visually sticking out completely. but if that is not the case, i guess it works as well. we’ll have to do it without it. unfortunately, i do not know how currently the cosmetics works in terms of pieces or if it’s based for outfit.
in order to avoid of being like the next “” INSERT THE TITLE HERE OF YOUR AVERANGE AAA WW2 TITLE THAT GOT BUTCHERED AND HAS SOME RATHER QUESTIONABLE UNIFORMS “”
( i will make no names. i’ll let you figure it out ) this suggestion does not try NOR SUGGEST to introduce wackie cosmetics that has nothing to do with ww2. off with those. we don’t need them.
but yeah, the general idea it’s to focus different outfits, have additional medals on the uniform or other interesting and unique details.
that is what i would like to see more on those gold troopers.
What will happen to them once the customization options will be a thing?
once the customization will be " open " and available for all soldiers, the limitations down below will no longer be applied.
for example, the uniform color will not have to be restricted necessarily to only the theme squads as you will be ( hopefully ) able to decide each uniform of them.
but their cosmetics will remain available for their characters ( for examples, patches of the country flag, medals, glasses, and other stuff that normal soldiers shouldn’t wear )
before we start, here is the format:
In game name of the soldier:
( Reference based on the soldier or specify if it’s invented )
( Campaign ) - ( Soldier class )
( Picture/s )
( Additional informations regarding the cosmetics )
DISCLAIMER
FIRST, i am well aware that some of those soldiers do not look like anything from the characters that they try to proclaim. in certain scenarios, they don’t have to. and it’s not to be disrespectful towards anyone. i am also aware that some uniforms are a bit off and some lacks of medals and stuff, but i tried my best with the tools that i had. due to lack of some models, uniforms and faces available, i did my best with what i had. and, inevitably, everyone makes mistake. but keep in mind that this is just a concept idea. what is represented here it’s just to give an idea. not the exact final “product” so it’s fine if they will not look like this.
so, here are a few examples that i thought for the:
-
Chalu Rem
( Based on Chhelu Ram )

standard uniform but with short sleeves, binocle, pistol holster, rank tabs, map holder, glasses and helmetless option with hairs. -
Mervin Hachmann
( Based (ish) on Erwin bachmann )
Berlin - Anti Tank Trooper Type II
his unique aspect are the helmetless option with hairs, the first, second iron crosses, and the silver tank hunter badge. the rest of the uniform, i was thinking of the pea dot tunic with gray pants as shown. but it’s up to devs. i would mainly be happy with a double colored uniform no matter the camo ( the pea dot camo was to use what it’s already present in enlisted ) -
Karl Knipel
( based(ish) on Kurt Knispel )
Berlin - Tanker Type III
Premium uniform from the PZ III M of normandy, medals, facial hairs and helmetless option
the next ones are going to be a bit tricky. but devs said they were going to introduce them anyway, so here two suggestion for the germans as well for berlin that would fit without breaking " realism " ( or at least, in my humble opinion ):
- Evelyn Honigswald
( Based(ish) on Erna Hirsekorn )
( no, it should not look like a barbie or the next cardashee full of make up. this is war.
the reason why she looks so unrealistic ( or allow me to use the term, " Crisp " ) and not from a battlefield with scars and dirtness it’s because i had no other head nor the ability to make them look more like it with the tools available to me. but you get the idea )
Berlin - Radio Operator Type I
the cosmetic on this trooper should resemble the default radio operator squad uniform over berlin ( i forgot to stick the headset… and to make the uniform more greenish ) because that’s what some auxiliary units were trained to do. therefore look logical ( at least to me ).
but it’s worth to mention that can ( or perhaps should ) be used the brown vulksturm uniform as well ( from the 2nd vulksturm company trooper squad in enlisted ) due to the circumstances of this period for germany.
( sorry not sorry, had no anyone else to put as radio operator for berlin. if you can find someone, be my guest )
and lastly for today,
- Paulina Böhme
( invented )
Berlin - Trooper Type I
basically, a darker brownish moscow mg squad trench coat without markings. but it comes with a vulksturm band ( that i forgot to put at the left arm… ) collar tabs, and field army hat with a string over the torso to resemble the vulksturm look in order to be indentifiable by any team.
in this section, there are a few things that should be mentioned as well. in order for what everything above is mentioned would work:
Please, No Clones
one thing that i do not like, and would like to avoid, are clones. i’d like to avoid situations on the battlefield like:
because, going around berlin and see the same sniper with all the same appearance is a bit off.
or:
to a point where they all look the same. so instead, it would be much nicer to have more diversity ( which it’s already possible to change the gold order appearances with appearance green order), but the point that i’m trying to make is, it would be highly apriacted if the devs make more different positionaments of objects, make more hairstyles and different colors. create more presets.
it’s fine if they look similar, but they most not look like clones. here are a few examples:
This, is bad:
This, is good:
so yeah, might be the same character but with different cosmetics.
Second parameter that i’d like to touch and adress:
Introduce more cosmetic objects and different variations:
(examples: )
( no, the mask should not be wearable. only a side cosmetic. )
( those were meants to be beards… but they look everything else. either way, you get the idea. more hairstyles, colors and more beards )
( insert all americans and british medals here.
because i couldn’t. nor i don’t know them much )
And many more!
more cosmetics and details for everyone
so yeah, this was my main suggestion.
nothing more nothing less.
took me around 4 days to make. it was fun, i think.
again, it’s not a priority, but i’d like to see it for the future.
regarding the soldiers if some gets introduced, and some not, that’s fine. i ain’t gonna complain.
all hard work gone wasted, but that’s fine as well.
i hope folks and devs will like it. or to the very least, take something out of it.
and don’t forget to post your soldiers that you would like to see in enlisted. so devs will hopefully see them, and get an idea of what players want.
