I’m probably not surprising anyone by saying that the AVT-40 is the weakest SF rifle at the moment, it doesn’t make USSR unplayable on BR5, it isn’t a bias thing, it’s just unfair.
I’m sure Darkflow will eventually fix this problem, but it’s been months, how difficult is it to replace the magazine and the animation?
If that’s really such a huge issue then use the 20 round Bubnov drum which is already in game and has animation, as a placeholder until the new magazine and animation is ready.
every faction has strengths and weaknesses, i would say the USSR’s excellent selection of assaulter weapons balances it out
im only saying that because while the AVT can be considered the least desirable battle rifle, it is by no means bad at all, it can still be used effectively
I dont know the unfair thing as it only becomes “unfair” against the Type Hei Auto and the T20 which only occurs when those super-duper clans do those well-known anticipated clan war matches.
Both soviet automatic rifles have the fastest aim speeds to compensate for the reduced mag capacity, and the highest damage.
In terms of the ability to react by aiming faster, the AVT/AVS has an edge.
The AVS-36 also received an unnecessary buff when it was switched from starting from semi-auto to full auto in the same update it was also applied to the FG rifles, giving the soviets access to a comparable, if not better preceding weapon unlock in the same vein as the PPS-42, Federov Avtomat and the RD-44, where the next unlock is a sidegrade at best, or worse.
I don’t particularly care whether or not the AVT ends up with a 20rd magazine, but I cannot stand people prefacing their suggestion with an incorrect assessment. The objectively worse automatic rifles in the tech tree, in their current state at the time of this writing, are the FG rifles.
I’m generally of the belief that asymmetrical balancing makes a more interesting video game, USSR has better assault rifles with the raw damage from the fedorov and GER has better (imo) rifles with that extra bit of mag capacity
If every faction was literally the same and 1-1 in every regard that would become boring
Ever heard of the saying, “less is more”? Weapon unlocks should provide something interesting, not just have 3 of the same guns with different magazines
Im sorry to kinda derail butI play console and feel like the FG and AVT when firing in full auto kinda bounce a little they are controllable but I swear they jump like a tiny bit so idk if anyone else feels that to…either just not me controlling it but it could just be how the gun is would love the AVT to be like the T-20
like i said numerous times, i am for avt-40 with 20 rounds, but only after they remove body armor. they already have best infantry weapons across all BR, so they dont need extra advantage.
Ah, like that one time merged all of the campaigns together so people didn’t have to unlock the MP40 four different times? Yeah, it was a dark day in Enlisted history when that happened
Still nothing but, meta is considered a squad of nine soldiers with an automatic rifle and this applies to every faction except the USSR there meta is either an old squad with assault engineers or otrdya stormtroopers who are not fully armed with assault weapons i.e. fully armed soldiers in the Soviet meta 4 or 6 and in all others 9
nobody is forcing you to strictly adhere to the game’s meta, i like to run the stupid flame tanks and stupid gold order weapons, you might discover more fun that way
ultimately, skill/intelligence is more important to winning than how many riflemen squads either team has
Yes, this is true, but for the best result, meta is mandatory, and the Soviets ’ meta is weakened compared to other factions, and that’s the whole problem
