I mostly play as USSR, so this opinion is not german bias.
USSR: got Maxim-Tokarev, beltfed DP42 and RPD-44 - (100rnds)
USA: got Browning, Vickers and 100rnd Bren and Stinger - (100/200rnds)
Japan: got Type 100 - (100rnds)
Germany: nothing. not a single 100 round MG despite being famous for their machineguns.
In addition to that, having basically 4 mg42s with 50 round drum is… a bit… repetitive?
Japan’s actually is just 50, each time you fire, you are firing two bullet not one, but yes Germany need 100rd mg
Good suggestion. I play mostly allies and i think it is ridiculous that germany has no 100 round mg yet.
Also you forgot beltfed dp, paratrooper vickers and 100 round bren
but the gun still has 100 rounds in its saddledrum, am i right?

Type 100 are two mg stick together who fire every time you press the trigger, each mg use is own drum mag, and each mg fire 50rd before you reload
No 100 round mags existed for german ww2 MGs.
And there’s not enough time for devs to contract their outsourcer 3D modelers to attach a hanging belt instead.

100 round belts were made by linking 2 50 round belts together in the field
100 round belts were field mods of 2 50 round belts linked together,and they dont even have really proper belts,look at the M1919 or DP beltfed for example
now is actually the perfect time for the german main to make a stance but they are nowhere to be seen weird tbh always complain about it but when the perfect opportunity arrive they didnt take it weird

That is the laziest excuse i have ever read. It is historically accurate that germans used loose belts

The devs can change the magazine size programmatically and use the current MG39 3D model as a placeholder as they have done with other weapon before.
At the initial release of the Pacific campaign the Japanese Type 97 AT rifle uses the 3D model of the Russian PTRS-41 with 7 rounds for the ammo counter instead of 5.
Maybe next major update, axis will get tech tree mg with 100+ rounds belt, like other factions… maybe.
It would make sense at least?
Hopefully it’s iconic 42 or 34, and not some joke ww1 one (it’s a possibility).
