how about they do this instead, make the Soviets and Japanese fight at br1, in a border conflicts
Soviet–Japanese border conflicts - Wikipedia that way it will be more fair
doesn’t work and people can bring body armor to any level in seal club if you’re playing Soviets
what does having body armor have anything to do with anything, body armor is mainly useless against rifles.
Nah they can balance IS-3 with 10.5 Tiger 2 as long as IS-3 is balanced I don’t see any problem to be added
If you use vitality and the knockdown perk and Medic you can be a troll and it gets even worse when you use full nine man squads
also, body armor is only useful for Soviets at br5 lol… so your argument doesn’t really work. since it a berlin cosmetic
It is good there but you can really mess around with some new players if you play your cards right at low level
wait a flipping second since when did you need a player base, oh wait you don’t! they can get replaced by bots! you only saying that because you are Japanese main? also recently the devs are going to implement the ability for bot squads to handle heavy weapons. so soon Japanese won’t have to worry about the lack of players that can take out tanks since bots will be able to do it as well.
I mean we’re still needing bots who can use tanks and be effective at least.
Build AT weapons and such.
You know that japan did lasted untill september of 1945 way beyond germany has capitulated. Just because germany had given up did not mean hostilities with japan had stopped aswell.
There was a time where both japan was at war with the USSR and the IS 3 was in service.
Why does any faction need a playerbase? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Was your favorit part pre merge playing the losing side in tunisia because you can meet so many bots on your team or why do you want them now?
Bots can not keep up with a good player.
i hope you get put in so many bot matches until you realise that they suck ass compared to a competent playerbase.
Bots are incometent as fuck and cant take on veterans or are just waiting to be farmed by some tank across the map…
In the topic they only explicitly stated that the AT will only affect the AI if a player commands them to use the AT weapons. So if pure bot squad can use them too is still up in the air.
Plus we dont know how well/bad (or at all) this feature will work once implemented in that patch… so no thank you. I prefere to stick to a playerbase insted of bot but opinions may differ and I can respect that.
Japan vs an IS-3?
yeah let’s just throw balance out the window.
yea it kinda just started with me jokingly suggesting that to balance out japan vs ussr but some people got triggered and said something stupid I had to correct.
This line is causing me misunderstanding yes it was in service although not for too long since it was plagued with issues and was then had to go through a redesign in 1948 result of the redesign was IS-3 M but here is the thing IS-3 never saw combat in ww2.
only 29 were produced till May 1945 (1170 in 1945). They didn’t have time to participate in the war in Europe, nevertheless some sources report that one tank regiment with IS-3 were used in August 1945 against Japanese Kwantung Army. On the other hand - many sources report that IS-3 never used in the war with Japan (probably, IS-3s were really sent to Far East, but they didn’t took place in combats with Japanese units). As for me, I think that there was no need to use new and not very reliable, but quite expensive heavy tanks IS-3 in August 1945 during the battles with Japan. The huge amount of T-34s, IS-2 and old KVs could fight against Japanese defence lines with success. Simple why would you waste your Is 3s when you have tons upon tons of T34s and KVs and even IS-2s that’s just stupid. Also no soviet combat record for IS3 during that time I mean soviets did take record of everything during later stages of war that’s why we know a lot about German stuff becuase of soviet recorda anyhow IS-3 really took part in the Allied military parade in Berlin (7 September 1945) as the tanks of 71st Guard heavy tank regiment and impressed the American and British generals. 52 IS-3 took place on that parade in Berlin.if you want to add IS-3 first try to balance it out, against Germans it’s possible since they also have some tanks in IS-3 level but Japan would struggle Ho-ri is case made simply cannot properly compete with a proper tank of BR 5 let alone IS3
P.S :
IS-3 recorded first combat
The first time IS-3 tanks took part in any fighting was in Hungary, in 1958. A Soviet military force was maintained there to keep communications with forces stationed in Austria. In 1955, the troops in Austria were withdrawn, and in May of that same year Hungary joined the Warsaw Pact. The Soviet troops remained, now as allies, under the name “Special Corps”. It included the 2nd and 17th Guards Mechanized Divisions, 195th Fighter and 172nd Bomber Air Divisions, and auxiliary units. There were no Soviet forces within the capital, Budapest.
In 1954, the authorized strength of a division included three mechanized regiments, a tank regiment, and a heavy SPG regiment. Such a division contained 46 heavy tanks. In the mid 1950s, the most numerous heavy tanks in the Soviet Army were IS-2s and IS-3.
On October 23rd, 1956, a 200,000 strong protest occurred in Budapest, initially peacefully. The Hungarians demanded the replacement of unpopular leadership who were promoting social and economic policies pushed by Moscow.
Radically anti-soviet groups hid behind seemingly communist slogans. Clashes with police broke out. People suspected of being members of state security were lynched in the streets. Anti-government slogans spread. In the evening, an armed uprising broke out.
At 23:00, the Chief of the General Staff of the Soviet Army, Marshal of the Soviet Union V.D. Sokolovskiy gave an order to the commander of the Special Corps, General P.N. Leshenko, to send his troops into Budapest and liquidate a counterrevolutionary revolt (“plan Compass”). At night, the Soviet forces entered the city.
Fighting broke out in the streets, and the rebels managed to hold several central city blocks. Tanks and APCs in the streets were vulnerable to grenades and Molotov cocktails, as well as anti-tank guns firing from the bottom floors point blank. As a result, Soviet losses in armour were significant.
In connection with demands of Imre Nagy’s government to withdraw Soviet forces from Budapest, the Special Corps pulled out of the city on October 31st and fortified 15-20 km away. The rebels erected a defensive line around Budapest with antitank and AA gun positions, as well as up to 100 caponiers for tanks. In return, Soviet command developed “Operation Whirlwind” to clear the city of rebels using the Special Corps and other units. The operation began on November 4th, 1956, at 6:00. By 7:30, elements of the 2nd Guards Mechanized Division captured bridges over the Danube, the parliament building, buildings of the party central committee, the ministry of foreign and internal affairs, the city council, and the Nyugati train station. Colonel N.T. Nikovskiy’s 87th Heavy Tank and SPG Regiment, which included IS-3 tanks, captured an arsenal near Fot and disarmed a Hungarian armoured regiment.
On November 5th, elements of G.I. Obaturov’s 33rd Guards Mechanized Division, after a powerful artillery barrage with 170 guns and mortars, took the last rebel stronghold in the Korvin movie theater. Clearing of the city continued until November 6th, and a new government was installed on November 7th.
According to official data, the Soviet Army lost 26 tanks, including one IS-3, three T-55s, and 22 T-34-85s. There is a well known photographs of an IS-3 without a turret: its ammunition rack detonated. Another knocked out IS-3 is seen next to it. Presumably it was later reclaimed and repaired, as it is not listed under irreparable losses.
The Hungarian Uprising was the only time the IS-3 participated in combat in the Soviet Army. After modernization which was carried out until 160, IS-3M tanks were used until the late 1970s and then were either mothballed or written off. Written off vehicles were either melted down or used as range targets. Some IS-3s were used on the Sino-Soviet border as bunkers. The tanks were finally removed from service along with IS-2 and T-10 tanks in 1993
The first prototype was completed and left the factory in may 1945.
No, do your research.
That is why I didnt said that it saw combat but only was in service. This was worded like that for a reason.
But this fact is disputed to the point that some wikipedia pages even mention it partaking in a manchuria campain while othere do not.
This would create a situation similar to the mkb in stalingrad for better or worse where the devs could just decide to release them while claiming historical accuracy as the have a sorce to fall back to if if the authenticity would be disputed.
I never really intended for the devs to add the IS3 which I hoped would be obvious by my by bs reason of USSR suffers but some people are special and dont accept sarcasm for an answer.
I think that giving the JSDF M20 Super Bazooka and Type 61 tanks is barely at the level of equality. (This equipment reminds me of Godzilla, which I would like to see in the future)
I don’t want to fight the IS-2 with only a rocket launcher that can penetrate only 100mm without sights!
Naah, i play with a streamer, so the A team always wins
