In WWⅠ,Germany has used body armor in war,In WWII,There is evidence to suggest that they used Soviet’s body armor,so why not give body armor to Germany?
Just do away with countries entirely and have a free for all I reckon

all factions have a kind of body armor if you do a proper research, not only germany, for everyone or make it be cosmetic

The idea behind body armor is in no way bad - Soviets used them on a surprisingly high scale, however their effectiveness was simply small and limited to pistols and SMGs, which is why they were mostly used by Assault units and field pioneers that needed to blow something up.
Giving armor to all factions would be not only unrealistic, it would again remove the uniqueness of the Soviet faction - same reason why it shouldn’t be removed.
That being said, the way how it works right now simply breaks game design and balance.
It should get a rework paired with a big update that gives each faction something unique to make each faction feel more specialised.

Yes,Japanese and British also have their own body armor during WWII
.In Enlisted’s editor you can found the Germany body armor and British body armor.But I think they don’t want to add it in game.

They will definitely add it to the game at some point. But I doubt they will be available outside of event/premium squad.

That’s how it should have been from the beginning. Soviets getting 10% damage reduction from cosmetics is absurd.

Just give it to everyone, and add a minor stamina penalty. If you want to use it, yay. If not go ahead.
Or remove Soviet because its sort of dumb and looks sort of stupid.
Or, remove the defence bonus, then everyone chooses something else, because it look silly …
I just overal dislike body armour to be honest
if they so,they should make all helmets be like japan one,who have 0 protection values,specially german engie assault one,who give a lot of protection against headshoots
The biggest issue is still that IF a helmet gives actual defensive power despite being a cosmetic item, no one has a reason to customise their soldiers to their own liking.
Cosmetics with combat benefits make the other cosmetics useless.

tell to japs,no mayter if you wear cup or helmet,it dont protect like other nations
the community already found the 100% optimal solution: make body armor only optical & have no effect ingame.

I think in those specific squads you could actually keep the bonus, because their event squads and then they have something special, besides the assault part of assault engineer, but
I would not care of they took it away, but in that case it does not really matter.
As for Jap helmets, they should also get the (normal) protection bonus, wierd that they dont geg it.
