Protection bonus for helmet matters very little since its almost always an insta kill unless your talking the German assault engineers

Yes, it can save you from one pistol shot. That’s a huge advantage.
I really couldn’t care less if my helmet has protection or not (because lot of helmets doesn’t have protection. Yes, helmets. Not caps). I just pick what I like.

If the soviets get a new BR V rifle , or get the AVT/AVS to 25 bullets they will be the dominant faction because of the body armor. I play all factions so I don’t have a bias, but the fg 42 II struggles against the armor . It increases the ttk of an enemy squad significantly. If the soviets get their new weapon I think it’s fair the armor cosmetic bonus should be removed. That will also fix many issues in the lower BR’s and in the future weapon rebalancing
