This game has a lot of potential in this regard and it would be cool to see more nations in the game (though I don’t know if this interests everyone and if it’s a priority).
Would like to see Finland represented through the Winter War as a new theater as well as Poland in 1939, Yugoslavia in 1941, Romania and Hungary in their own respective theaters against the Soviets (maybe in the late war stage). Budapest Offensive, Battle of Debrecen, Battle of Păuliș, Battle of Turda, etc…
Usually in WW2 games you only see the major big nations involved which is unfortunate imo. Would love to see nations such as those represented with their attire and weapons.
I want battle of France. Because I want to see very early ww2 post ww1 era tanks, French vehicles (would be new) French/British faction, where Brits could run away at Dunkirk while French defend their retreat, then for years on end makes fun of the French for surrendering. Also both factions used only small vehicles. No OP stuff. More simple armament.
Balkan campaign is bad idea. Yugoslavia and greece mainly relied on western and imported weapons. I dont think anyone would grind greece or yugo for same english weapons with different soldier skins
I don’t know exactly how they will structure future campaigns but here is my idea
Market Garden
Sicily and/or Italy (may be two different campaigns)
Siegfried Line (Aachen, Hurtgen forest, etc)
Battle of the Bulge (idk if it will be its own campaign like Stalingrad or be apart of Siegfried Line)
Blitzkrieg (early war Western front)
North Afrika (early war North Africa, before America showed up)
Caucasus
Soviet Offensives (grouping all the mid-late war Soviet pushes towards Germany, ex Budapest)
Barbarossa
I’m sure there are a lot more other battles/ operations for the Eastern Front but I don’t know as many
True. It’s why Brits nuked them in the back at Mers-El-Kébir, while they were powered down and already surrendered for maximum efficiency. Those evil Frenchmen!
Surprised nobody mentioned this but the battle of Hong kong, it would not only add india and canada but it would be early war British kit v Japanese kit mixed with the fact Japan would be a attacker would be a intresting spot having allies as the defenders plus Hong kong would go from urban to wooded hill fighting besides that i personally feel enlisted should stray away from ww2 abit but nothing past 1960, imo Korea would be perfect soviet armed chinese vs America however im in favour of holding off campaigns for current fixes.
I think the only somewhat unique thing left is the invasion of France. Even then it could only be interesting because of the early tanks, but vehicles are kind of bad in this game.
The rest (including other possible theaters of war) would basically just offer new backdrops for using largely the same stuff. New maps with new terrain for game designers to horribly misuse when drawing up game modes and objectives.
What’s even more important is that they need to fully restructure their campaigns and progression system before adding anything beyond what’s already there. Every new campaign, every new level added to old campaigns, they all make that overhaul more difficult, but it will have to happen if the game wants to have long-term future.
Personally Don’t feel it would work but its a intresting thought but castle itter would be too small plus two sides having the same weapons but still would make a nice custom map
Moscow problem isn’t just the mkb. The other side uses the avs, and the fedov.
Moscow was fun with neither of those 3. Seriously Moscow Germany has access to the most beautiful sniper rifle of the entire game (the 3rd unlocked one) but because devs decided to push automatics spam that much… nobody uses it, having to use sniper mkb instead.
My biggest problem with the MkB is that its anachronistic. The earliest account of it being seen was months after the battle ended. The AVS and the Federov was serviced during the battle (maybe not appearing in the battle itself, but was in the military at some capacity allowing to some suspension of disbelief), and was made long before the war.
The devs were planning the campaign’s downfall whenever they made the Sniper Mkb free but the Sniper Gewehr 41 premium. If they were to include the MkB, it should have been as a gold order or a premium squad for this campaign.
