Future Spec ops squad idea

For aesthetic alone; Soviet combat frogmen  . But also, they heroically worked in mining operations, bridge building operations and counter espionage missions. Should definitely include an engineer and maybe TNT charges from Stalingrad even if they are useless.

But also, they are a major faction in game without a spec ops squad.
ASIDE from the USA (could include Merril’s Rangers in the Pacific or the Rangers in Normandy).
Major inspiration for my post - Soviet Combat Divers in World War II by Pavel Borovikov

It’s a cool idea but I already think the three squad is disturbing.
So frogmen running arround …

I was also thinking they could do a more “dressed down” version but maintaining some of the froggy elements such as suit, but perhaps scuba head gear unequipped? They did river bank incursions so it is not A-historical  Also, will update once I finish book with the kind of fire arms they were known to use. I already know a suppressed Nagant revolver or even an Mosin style obrez would be appropriate for sidearms.

That looks cold war era

I can assure you the photo’s are from WW2. Just look up Soviet combat divers/frogmen ww2 on google

I love the idea…

But we’d need an entirely new game mode for it to make sense: very large scale battles.

So those specialised infiltrator squads would make sense (different behind enemy line spawn mechanic?), along with the very, very much requested apc vehicles.
