Thats sad for the germans, i know, but to be fair, the portraits will be taken away again. Also if i remember correctly, no promises, but i think i heard that the next battlepass should include axis generals

But itās the opposite: they reinforce their censorship rules (showing clear double standards).
The memes of the black square faction now abound.
My avatar got censored once (even if itās full on Canadian flags) and many others got the same treatment for showing Yamamoto or Rommel.
Itās a pity considering that for a ww2 game, the first need is two belligerent factionsā¦ The Soviets didnāt fight ghosts or figments of imagination for crying out loud!

The last event that had anything to do with Soviets was Victory Day but they have yet to get anything unique e.g. weapons or vehicles since the Kalashnikov SMG squad and the 76mm BT-7 instead of a repainted PPS-43 despite they do get lots of gold weapons lately.
The other event squads are more useful than the PPK-42 tbh while the BT-7 uh T-34 and KV-1 are better.

Eh, relative to the campaign they are in, they all get replaced relatively quickly, the Bren can do everything the Charlton can but better, the silenced Sten isnāt even in the same league as the M1A1 Thompson much less the overstamp, why run the silenced MP 40 when you can have the MP 43/1, or hell even the Beretta M38, and the PPK gets overshadowed by the drum mag SMG. As for the vehicles, all the event vehicles are strict downgrades from things that can be unlocked in the campaign, with the only thing you might be able to argue being the P-47D-22-RE, which at most you can argue is a sidegrade.

Yes I agree Sergei. I think a Soviet citizen partisan squad or commando group would be awesome for an event squad 
. For example, a partisan squad for the Soviets and Hungarian Army squad for the Axis in Stalingrad would be very welcome and interesting for both sidesā players :).
Additionally, the Western allies and Axis have been given particularly special attention for the spec ops squads. I recently proposed Soviet combat divers who had a niche but very important role throughout the war, including Moscow and Volga river crossings! Just look at how cool these steampunk assassins are hehe 
My suggestion is here for reference with some more detail Future Spec ops squad idea .
Most of all, I really hope Stalingrad campaign is not forgotten. A few maps and interesting squads could go a long way for the community.

Just curious what is a cool weapon we could see for the soviets as a new event weapon perhaps? I play primarily as the soviets in game but I am tired of getting PPsH type weapons . Iād like a cool semi auto !

well youāre being quite dishonest / disingenuous.
last time there were events, soviet got a few squads, vehicles and even free gold order soldiers.
out of 5/6 events that we had, half of them had something for russians.
so, itās not the end of the world if in a few events, there wonāt be something for them. ( as thereās always one next ).
beside, since you only play russia, within the events you still got ( and still have ) the chance to use the gold order to spend for a soviet weapon/soldier/whatever.
One of the more obvious things for me at least is the absolute lack of Stalingrad maps and levels. Granted, they did the one plane squad for each side but typically after a new campaign DF has updated consistently with maps and a couple levels per side . Aside from that, their latest revamped starter packs also ignored Stalingrad, kind of a worrying sign but maybe Iām looking into it too much 
Aside from that, I think the soviets could get an interesting spec ops squad like the Germans and British and Iād be pretty stoked 
doesnāt really have much to do with the event though, you can still use the gold order for stalingrad soviet weapons or any other campaign for that matter.
which, they are currently working on the tank factory setted in winter.
other stuff that we know, sturer emils and su-67 tanks are coming ( although most likely premium as in the editor are named premium )
plus, we just got our medic squad with the last update. not completely ( and unrightfully ) abbandoned. although, due to itās current " issue " where most of the stuck is locked, not many people plays it.
well, iām sure in the future something will come. as for now, it never happened that campaign got discontinued ( yet ).

Not totally forgotten, but in recent events. Also i wanted to include the battlepass not adding any vehicle for any soviet campaignā¦ (i am collector and im really dissappointed about itā¦)
