We don’t know in detail how the future perks system will work, but we do know it’s going to be heavily reworked.
It is therefore safe to assume that there will be a lot of rebalancing in terms of perks cost in points, too.
We also know that the new system will supposedly ditch the RNG perks selection, which is a great thing.
Nonetheless most of us, used to our favourite combinations of perks, will in all likelihood need to make changes in our sets.
Now, if we’ll have to do it manually FOR EVERY SINGLE SOLDIER, it’s going to be a VERY tedious and time-consuming affair, requiring HOURS of micromanagement for those who have several campaigns unlocked and hundreds of soldiers.
Moreover, we’d probably have to do it AGAIN whenever perks undergo significant rebalancing.
Therefore,
I hereby suggest and ask, as a major QoL necessity, that the new perks management system incorporates an option for players to automatically apply a specific set of perks to ALL soldiers of the same class AT ONCE, either through a dedicated “apply to all” command, or by saving it as the default set for the class.
Individual changes would still be possible, but micromanagement would become an extra instead of being mandatory.
I’m stressing it now that the new system isn’t a thing yet, in the hope that this feature may be implemented in time to be there since day 1, when it will be most needed, instead of appearing perhaps much later (if ever).
