Now after thorough research and testing, I am happy to declare that the most effective and over-powered class in the game is Mortar class and I will illustrate why exactly.
now I needed a critical moment to test my theory which is which class is the best in turning an absolute defeat into victory and I am aware that most if not all would say that it would be the (Assaulter or Gunner)
although If you are an experienced player you would say a tank
but the scenario I tested this theory was I was on the defending team in vyskovo village 7 times and in monastery 5 times so in total I was on the defending team 12 times and 5 of those it would have been a complete defeated if I didn’t use the technique
I used the engineer in the Assaulter squad and built a spawn point and 3 ammo crates in a well-hidden place but also not near the point or close to the action so no one would use it other than me and it would be an emergency plan in case of the point is close to being overrun by the sheer density of the enemy and believe me when you play the game long enough you know what I am talking about and you only then wish to have an artillery strike to clear them and only then comes my emergency plan I rush the enemy with grenades and stall them as much as I could until my allies secure the point ( which they too will be overrun soon) and I respawn in the placed spawn point and I clear it easily and also farm a lot of kills ( target-rich area ) and I only used it on the last point in the defence but it was more effective than depending on a tank or assaulters to do the job
Solution: make mortars friendly fire
Note: I haven’t done anything about the Normandy campaign because they need a lot of work same as Moscow when shotgunner class existed
I don’t like this solution tbh, your solution is make me pay for having Teammates farming kills, that won’t stop them from farming kills that will just Destroy the experience for every one involved in capturing the point.
Does anyone seriously think, that mortar spammers care about friendly fire? As long as they get their juicy kills, they don´t give a bloody damn because completely denying access to the point secures them victory anyway.
Just disallow them from getting unlimited ammo from engineers.
Friendly fire and forbidding them to fire from spawn is then a juicy bonus in the interest of fairness and encouragement to use mortars more strategically.
I am aware of that but if you see the bright side these spammers would have a high friendly kill ratio which they would be detected by so the game could punish them or do something about I mean that making the mortars friendly fire isnt the final answer but its a mean of easily detect them and so on be punished
if you think about it unlimited ammo for mortars is necessary for mortar class in order to not be a useless class just like the radio operator after you call an artillery strike for three long minutes but imagine if you could detect these spammers and also enjoy your mortars because it would need a lot of skill to know the place and the timing you fire in order not to kill any of your friendlies and wait until you get to play with your friends having fully upgraded squads I am quite sure you will have fun with the mortars ( not spamming the point with three squads god no )
I am happy to accept any better solution you have in order to resolve these agonizing issue and if you noticed any of my previous posts you will find that I have tried and used every and each possible exploit I can lay my hands on considering the mortar class and I got pretty creative too
and the only solution I got from these exploits as a qualified spammer is only the ability to detect them and punish them by seeing the number of friendlies killed and I am quite certain they will be detected easily
the technique I just mentioned earlier didn’t need to have an engineer and mortar in the same squad and I can mention to you many ways on how to spam the enemy with mortars without necessarily needing to have an engineer in your squad my problem is the continuous spamming to the point with no punishment you could be pretty bad at the game but by spamming you will be on the top score
– first, if you really want to kill a friendly you have two ways only run him by your tank or killing him by calling an artillery strike there is no other way
so for our ill-experienced opinion it is pretty hard to kill an ally
but if you make mortars friendly fire you will see the kill-feed flashing all kinds of colours and so on it will be very easy to detect them because you won’t punish someone who killed 4 or 5 in a game but 50 well that is a spammer
