Full de-rank(1 rank at a time) for players who quit often (or other punishments)

I’ve been noticing too many high level people quitting at the first sign of any resistance on all campaigns and teams. Some people even boast about being able to play only the games they see in their favor from the start without worrying about de-ranking because they have banked a lot of points past marshall.

It would benefit all the newbies if there were both additional incentives for staying and harsher penalties for leaving.

EDIT:

Another nice suggestion I have come up with is to implement MCC’s forced 5-10 minute time out for quitting any match in progress for any reason

Suggestion 3: Chronic rage-quitters should just have their rank removed entirely and not be eligible for marshall rewards during the current season

k dont care about the rank thing, so being a Marshall or a private Is indifferent to me.

It might not affect everyone, but I’d be happy if they did anything at all to stop at least some people from quitting

how about they add selection of game modes and maps that you want to play? cause some game modes are just trash and some maps are too one sided (without really good team)

If you simply de-rank people based off on that the whole game would get abandoned in a sight especially if the grind is rough

I’ll start from myself …if i dont have fun, i’ll abandon the match and look for a new one. Why would i bother staying if the enemy team is shredding the whole round apart and im not having any of the fun ?

The way i see it, for more people to stay is to simply give +100% score booster at the end of the round to the players who stay if the total amount of people leaving in a team is more than 30 or 40%

Instead of punishing those that leave (with very legit reasons) just reward those who decide to stay.

I’ve been noticing allies players rage quit when they realize it’s not a steamroll. I mean they literally still have a chance but since it’s not an easy win they bail.

Why does winrate matter? I sorta use to care about winrate but since they added the ranks I haven’t quit a match yet unless I need to leave for IRL purposes.

Leaving the match just because it’s not going your way is a dick move to be sure, But I think a better option would be providing an incentive to staying rather than a punishment for leaving.

Leave more than 5 times in a month and all the rest of the games you leave past that you get nothing for playing in.

If they want to leave or there GF is freaking out because they show more attention to the PC than them they should be able to but they should not expect to get any reward for kills or points, exc if they do, leaving and bailing on all the other guys, not just on your side but the other side as well.

most of the ppl leave in the first 3 minutes, i guess a lost of 1000 xp isnt that bad.

i also leave when i see roflstomp by enemies (who are usually in squads). simply no point in staying in a match like that. specially when i have team of questionable intelligence…

I do see quite a few people leave at the very end of a match if it’s not going to win though presumably because they don’t want to take the loss, I’ve never actually left any game So I’m not entirely sure how the penalties work, I had thought you only got 50% of whatever you achieved if you left the match up until that point

I’ll admit I’m curious, if you don’t care about the rank or the scoring or anything like that, then why would you leave, you care about winning but nothing else?

I always view lopsided matches as a target rich environment… more stuff for me to kill kind of a thing. I don’t really care if we win or lose so it’s not at all part of my decision making process regarding my enjoyment of the game.

Ranks ≠ high lvl. Simply someone who plays a lot.

Also if someone joins a match he dislikes… He’s free to leave. We play for ourselves, not for others.

I’m also someone who prefer incentives, rewards to play more difficult factions/matches. I don’t believe in punitive bs.

Last match I played, I was literally the only player on the allies team in IoN. Axis had what looked like 5 or 6 players. Ya I quit after they capped the 3rd point within 5 minutes

If you don’t care about winning and losing then you’re one of the people I’d love to abandon as a teammate. Sometimes I’m in matches for 10-15 minutes and repeatedly get my squad into CP but nobody else does. Maybe one guy flying around doing almost nothing, another messing about in a tank and NO hope to capture. Yet if I leave I’m penalized. I’ve stopped caring and leave. I will leave any and every conquest map. Total trash.

Agree here. Rank doesnt really matter to me, but gameplay does. If I’m in a shit team and we are getting full steam rolled, I’m leaving. Alternatively, it is also not fun when I’m in a team with a bunch of players vs 1 guy with nothing but AI and my team has capped the first point before I even get a rally up, that’s no fun either.

Don’t get me wrong I would prefer that we win of course, but it doesn’t bother me if we lose, and those guys in the tanks and the planes are definitely helping you because they’re killing the enemy, but the community is apparently quite divided on this some people think that those players aren’t doing anything at all to help and others don’t suffer from the sort of tunnel vision that prevents them from seeing the bigger picture, and I do understand your frustration with conquest, every time I wind up playing it the thought of leaving actually crosses my mind, those matches can be exceedingly tedious, but I’m beginning to learn the spots on Kalif, I mostly just play Tunisia and I was managing to get quite a few kills today during one match.

All I have to say is that quitters ruin this game.

If you stayed and fought it out, you’d find that you can still win games even by yourself if you do your best to the very last point, every time.

I don’t quit anymore, no matter the odds. My team and the newbs are better for it, and so am I for training against the odds and doing better.

Halo I think has it right.

You are forced to sit out for 5-10 minutes for leaving any game in progress, no matter what.

We need that here if de-ranking won’t stop you dishonorable people from ruining the game for everyone else who wants to fight out tough matches
