but dont worry i’m not a grammar nazi ^^ these peoples are quite elitists from my opinion
but you’re right we shouldnt keep fighting that’s pretty stupid,
so what about we talk about the original subject XD “Forum translation for French community” i think of course a nationnal section is the less important thing to add for the moment according to the fact they are working on the actual game (that is already translated in many language including French, thank’s devs) but from my opinion when the time will come to make those improvements it will be easier than we think to add nationnal sections. i discussed with someone that was part of the War thunder forum French nationnal section and he explained me they had just one manager that was giving them instructions and let them do the rest, as he told me, gaijin given them as reward, all the premium vehicles of the game at the moment and it was fine, the volunteers was rewarded and the community was given a nationnal section where it’s easier to discuss
No, a moderator deleted all of the posts.
The moderator said so on behalf of the development team. Whether it is easy or hard to get a new forum section is entirely irrelevant as the developers have decided it is not coming anytime soon. Yet you keep persisting it HAS to come. why? I offered a solution for if you want to use your own language. I offered a solution for the people that want to give feedback but do not speak English. Are those solutions not good enough?
Did you ask him whether he actually sends what you discuss to the developers? As if he does not, there is literally 0 difference between talking here and on discord, outside of the platform change.
We simply have a different vision of politeness in France.
You don’t go into a store, or you don’t run into someone without saying “Bonjour” (Hello) before “attacking” them in a foreign language from where you are now.
If ever I have to visit a country (hard in this time), English or not, out of “politeness” in the way I was brought up, I will learn as much as possible of their language, to have the basics, BUT also to have a minimum of basics in their manner. Things to do or not, to say or not.
Most people who visit France come to Paris, thinking that Paris = France.
It is the most visited city in the world, the average Frenchman who goes there for work has all the reasons to be pissed off by tourists and may be tired of constantly crossing paths.
So when tourists come and don’t even know how to say hello before asking things in a foreign language , it just seems boring/rude here.
It’s my opinion, i’m not even from Paris.
You want a good mood in your French Trip ?
Visit other things like Paris.
Know how to say Hello in French, say it with a smile and be “humble” and “polit”.
The welcome can be very good if you don’t look like the 9999’ tourist no polite.
And judging all a Nation because you cross the path of 3 harsh people, that’s not fair.
Their is insert insult here in every corner of the globe.
I did say Bonjour first
This is a fair point. I will keep that in mind next time I visit France. At least it is better than people calling you a racist because you ran into some really stereotypical people.
My text was more “general” for breaking some stereotype.
Not focusing on you and your time in France, but you got the spirit
Im gonna close this down as it sparks a bit too much…
