in order to help the French community to share their feedbacks of Enlisted i think that making a French translated category in the Enlisted forum is a good idea, from my personnal opinion i’m ready to participate in a French section of the Enlisted forums if needed and i think it’s a usefull idea
or… maybe they could learn english and use it.
that’s how 90% of the people does in this community.
i don’t wanna sounds harsh or anything, but i would love an english and german community as well, but it’s much easier to use the english one as more people could use it, and above all, more feedbacks and “votes” in one only category insthead of being sprayed across various section.
keep in mind that devs have already enough work to do with russian and english community.
cheers.
That’s not how the French roll.
Even I know that, and I’m not a Euro lmao
I support the idea of different sections for different language groups, but maybe AFTER the servers get upgraded and the DDoS’ing stops
What use is there in having a forum section the devs do not understand? They don’t speak anything other than English or Russian. If you just want to talk to other French speaking people, join the discord server.
even devs use google translate. i don’t see how some people can’t do that
You didn’t say use translate you said learn the language
Two very different things
That’s why you hire a bilingual community manager. Is this your first video game ?
Developers are not forced to cater to everyone in the world. They can decide for themselves for what languages they choose to support. Be happy the official website supports as many as it does. They do not owe French / whatever language speaking people anything. Is this your first video game?
What kind of stupid response is this, most big games have German, Spanish, French, etc… small subsections and will try to hire community manager from each community. It’s just smart business.
Your mistake is to think that a AAA studio == indie game studio.
If they hired one community manager for French, one for German, one for Spanish, one for Portugese, one for Japanese and one for Chinese, that alone would mean they have more community managers than game developers. Darkflow has a total of ~30 people working on Enlisted and Cuisine Royale combined, including the existing community managers that are already bilingual, English and Russian.
Again, the developers do not owe any community anything. Google translate exists. Use it. Otherwise, learn English like 25+% of the world population.
If you think only AAA games do this I cannot help you at this point.
There wont be any other National section anytime soon.
Do you have to edit the orange in after the fact or do you just forget to do it when you post it initially?
I always see it flicker to highlighted after the fact.
can we hope a French section when the game will be 1.0 ? i understand they dont really need a to translate the forum for the moment but it would be great i think
Give me an example of any indie game studio that has 10+ community managers for this kinda stuff
I have to do it afterwards.
Any company that use volunteers or in game rewards or just clout chasing.
Yeah 10 CMs wont happen. At max we will have in the end 3-4 for Enlisted. Its always dependant on Revenue.
you dont need 10 CM to manage this kind of section, you just need players who are ready to handle them, like War Thunder did
Most small indie companies don’t even have forums to my knowledge
