Either bring back option to see hidden (flagged) comments or solve the issue of false flaging.
Current state where ppl can basically remove (hide) someone’s comment is really stupid.

Well if it actually does get flagged I don’t think the people who continue the flagging crusades will be happy when we go to steam because they will have no power there.

I don’t think it’s relevant in this case. It isn’t the staff hiding or deleting posts. Flagging is abused by butthurt and/or petty forum users.

There are some comments that are nothing more than trolling or deliberate insults, those deserve to get flagged since it might be good feedback about the user’s intolerable behaviour.
But flagging someone just because I don’t like him or don’t agree with him, is ridiculous.
Moderators should look into flagged posts and unhide them if there is nothing personal/insulting in it.

That’s a real shame. Now all it takes is a single petty user or a single troll and a post gets hidden and lost.
Seriously tho? I could, in theory, start flagging every single post in this thread (or even an official news thread, for what matters) myself, hiding it entirely in a matter of seconds, and nobody would be able to do crap about that?

not really, you need several flags to be flagged
and if you edit a hidden post, it will be shown (according to discourse app, I’m not completely aware if the discourse guys have changed this)
There are occasions where people with bad intentions misuse the flags, and the guys who moderate are human and are not available all the time.
so if you have any concerns about any hidden post, send a message to the moderation team, like me
I am completely at your disposal to help you

One troll can create several accounts and place several flags on single post. And I assume such troll is present here on forum.

Not that I’m offended. But I was a member of various forums where “spicy” language was allowed. The problem was that the gate of what is still allowed and what is not is constantly moving.
