its not the same thing on range, you need to do it on enemy tanks with crew.
I would say that the difference is insignificant. Any m8 hit anywhere on the tank is death. The forehead, the side - it doesn’t matter. Dumb and imbovy weapon given the attachment almost on the nose of the plane, which gives perfect accuracy and tremendous speed of missiles. I destroyed both tanks in one go.
The wfr missiles are simply unsuitable for hitting vehicles. Crooked, slow, you only need to aim one (extremely difficult). In 1500 games in Normandy I’ve barely seen 10-20 times they’ve killed tanks. M8 - several times per game (me personally)
37mm cannon penetrates m5a1, but the damage is extremely low and more often than not for 1 run you do only some damage 1-2 crew members, fire.
Jumbo is not penetrated. Sherman in my experience only perfect in the engine compartment (ineffective)
