Since we literally and quite monumentaly broke the ice of post WW2 tech with items such as AS-44 type 5 coming in hard for F2P less boring gameplay for soviets, i think its time to finally be honest and admit this is not about WW2 anymore, Id really like to see Heckler Koch G3 for Germans cause you know … reasons…
And im really curious if there ever was a voting poll on how many people would actually choose total refund of every single purchase they made ingame and to gaijin instead of continue playing how that would end up
EDIT: The AR for US should be primarily M14 developed in 1957 but who cares for actual year of use anyway
Yeah can’t wait to use my XM7 Spear against some dudes with kar 98 in Tunisia, will absolutely make sense I guess.
In all seriousness, we will not see FAL, it is a mid 50’s weapon. AS44 actually existed during WW2 (only as a prototype but still), and I still don’t understand why people are mad at the AS44, its just a reskin STG. Tbh the dev would have better give the soviet captured STG instead, as the germans already have capture PPsh.
As for the US, the M2 carbine is there already, sure I would really like a different weapon in addition but we have to do with what we get.
Because soviets dont need exactly same weapon as STG because it looks silly like if soviet guy cant outperform STG with other guns he already has that are buffed to oblivion such as WW1Fedorov ?
well, best we could have might be a select fire Garand (T20 I think) or a prototype of the British EM-2. But I am pretty sure we won’t get M14/FAL anytime soon.
The thing is that the Fedorov is probably better than the AS44 anyway, so I don’t think it would change much. People who unlock the AS44 already have the Fedorov like 7/8 levels before already.
This game has a large range of content from the very famous, well known, and mass produced to the rare, prototype, and experimental. There is nothing wrong with having the AS-44 because it is a WW2 prototype
I understand the sentiment, but everyone draws their lines differently. For example, I don’t mind seeing prototype, rare this or that as long as its implemented plausibly.
For example, I roll my eyes more that the Federov is in Berlin. Im fine with it being in game, but it should only be in early war battles.
But then at the same time they occasionally add WW1 weapons and I’m fine because many weapons did see services found themselves in combat in both wars. And sometimes I come up with my own logic of why certain guns are where they are. For example, maybe a US soldier managed to snag himself a Farquhar-Hill in Britain before shipping to Normandy
But then we have the Pacific where at the moment it covers the entire theatre from early to late and we have a wide range of weapons and vehicles, and it’s still a great campaign
In 1943 the Soviet M43 7.62×41mm intermediate cartridge was developed and provided to Soviet small arms design bureaus to design a series of new weapons around this new cartridge. In May 1944 Alexey Sudayev who had already designed the successful PPS submachine gun delivered the first and fourth models of his AS-44 for tests.
Already 2 prototypes of AS-44
The AS-44 successfully met the competition’s requirements and in the spring of 1945, an experimental batch of them were manufactured at the Tula Arms Factory.
More than 10 prototypes probably were produced here, too
So not only As-44 had one prototype but at least 20 or 30 of them were made more than Condors MG wich is in the game with only one half-made prototype which Americans put together
Because nobody never complained about other things I guess.
Why ppl are acting like “muh history” argument happend only to AS? You all are either blind or manipulative/lying.
There were ppl complaining about moscow StG, FG42, moscow F2 and T-50, Jumbo, MG131 etc etc.
So argument “why ppl complain now but they are ok with everything else” is a lie.
If the post doesn’t refer to any other ahistorical topics or that in general but focuses on just one thing, it’s totally fine to point out: other things too, for a long while.
