Flamethrowers for Paratroopers needs a rethink

sounds not too bad. it’s just re-used off something else in that campaign that I can’t put my finger on atm, but I’ve heard it a lot.

funnily enough…I like using this alot better as a carbine…single fire tap lol. Nice and accurate.

Buuut…will 100% just be picking ZB-26s

That would make sense. Because ive heard it so much i was disappointed to hear the same thing. (Probably makes sense to sound same though)

ngl i personally love the baretta gun sound it just sound like paper to me idk why but i love it

I dont dislike it. I just prefer a less hollow/tinny sound. Bit more beefy

So from your words are you saying we should nerf the Normandy paratroopers so they can’t drop from the sky with six Vickers and six 100 round thompsons ?

no.

i personally enjoy vickers and fgs.

those can remain in the game for latter tiers.

what i don’t enjoy and should be nerfed, is the ability to have more than 1 paratrooper squad in the active line up.

( even though… dropping with an aircraft / tank mount machinegun for infantry is it somewhat dumb… )

Yep most definitely dumb and I’m sure some people around would love to abuse that type of stuff and make life miserable for the Germans and yet the Germans are still struggling to have a 100 round belt fed MG.

I meant “very bad” as it’s in the very bottom of the axis tech line, under FNAB.

It’s just compared to others.

But I know what you mean, because I personally like the mp28 with 20 bullets a lot… And ppl say it’s not very good.

Don’t worry. Bottom line I just tried to defend the squad from those screaming “nerf!”… Like for all other new squads or nee piece of weaponry.

Everyone knows drum smgs are GARBAGE and that high rof WASTE BULLETS and that 0,1 more damage per bullet is broken.

Mp40 is way stronger than any opponent faction smgs.

But joke aside, I REALLY like mp28… I uh… bough 15 or so in Stalingrad, max star. Ready for early war. (Same with ppd 34)

hate me or not, but this madness needs to be removed from the game, Paratroopers have ZERO right to have access to flamethrowers.

I think it’s a nice squad, and a nice weapon.

Not even a single issue regarding. The 20 mag size (imo ofc)

It’s fun.

But I personaly don’t use the flames from the box. I find other options more powerfull

It definitely breaks the balance of flamers. Their main downside is that you usually only have 2 in a squad and since they’re infantry you have to travel on foot to close distance with the enemy to make the flamethrower useful. When you can just drop in on the enemy with an entire squad of flamethrowers, there’s really no downside to it.

Honeslty Id rather have half the flamers with twice the ammo

I think the small ammo count makes them all having one a non issue

I agree. The tank is really small. Once the range is nerfed this will not be very useful (and I’m not complaining about it either way).

The Italian paras are fine. I have found most likely by the time you drop in and grab a flamethrower and start flaming people, you and 3-4 of the other paras will die within 10 seconds. You may get to shoot a bit more flame or kill one or two enemy with the little SMG and your last few guys but the whole squad will probably be wiped under 30 seconds. Overall they are not all that OP really.

Playing as Axis in Tunisia right now you are still facing high level Allied teams full of real players with high level vehicles and kit, whereas you may have only a few other Axis players on your team. Everything still heavily favors the Allies right now, but I have noticed after Axis captures one or two points, a large majority of the human Allied players will leave the game, making it much easier to win the last few points as Axis.

I am gonna grind Axis for the next week to get that bike and see if it stays fair after the Allied paras drop, cause for the last 6 months it has been basically Allied dominant.
