Flamethrowers for Paratroopers needs a rethink

Yes I know what you might say, but not even the premium flamers have 6 flame troops in a squad. Agreed, Tunisia axis gets a much needed boost from this squad, but there’s a difference between flamethrower spam, and stacks of like 7 or 8 axis players all paradropping with flamethrowers coming out of the ears.

Paras getting a flamethrower is a bad idea, but 6 paras + flamethrowers is just rather dubious.

Suggestion to fix: Add a preset for the allied counterparts to get flamethrower, though better flamers they’d get less like maybe 1 or 2, and reduce the number of flamers the axis would get to about 3 or maybe 4.

I’d also like to see a cap on the number of para squads able to be dropped onto the battlefield at 1 time, and force the alternative to spawn normally instead of dropping in.

Paratroopers offer a problem in the game, if their weapons and equipment is too powerful. But if items are premium and event, of course Darkflow is going to care a great deal less for their balance as an abnormal feature.

Give the Para squads a little balance, and RE-THINK those damned flamers.

PS. this is just to provoke some thought and a bit of a stretch to influence some change. So all those angry subjective opinions in the comment can say what they like, but they’ll be coming on deaf ears.

So your fix to paratrooper having acces to flamethrowers is to give more flamethrowers to paratroopers?

what I mean is either, they’d need to add flamethrowers to the allied squad to balance it somewhat. or remove the special ones from the axis ones. I don’t see people taking the removal of the axis flamers kindly so adding some to allies would be a more viable option.

Wait wait wait, you say that every paratrooper gets a flamethrower from the crate?

Devs will soon nerf italian flamethrowers to T1 levels of damage and range. And that will be the last time anyone sees italian paras. Just as no one uses pacific paras anymore.

I am more concern about the shitty 4ss 20rnd SMG they have than the Flamethrower that they need to pick up in the crate

Nope, it have 100 of fuel and in the forward days his fire range get nerfed and become more or less similiar to flamethrowers 1, still flamethrowers is not the best weapon to use on most tunisia scenario, outside a cap clean with him you pass more time with the couple zb+(recoiless) og43 (m38 if you like boltie)

And people are still ignoring you’ll get bonus medkit for those 6 flametroopers as well.
Kinda useful with ± +50% vitality bonus and quick revive.

I don’t really care. It’s still a tier 1 flamethrower x6. This is BS.

Yeah I know right. I could sorta understand them getting like 3 flamers and Allies also getting a flamer. BUT 6 just isn’t right.

Dude, despite the flamer getting limited ammo. Its still way outside the parameters of a standard flamer squad. I’d give them 4 if I was really generous and 3 if I was being realistic.

The bullshit train is already passed with the two premium tunisia flamethrowers squad or whith the the premium 100 round thompson, imo this is mild

At this point devs should just remove classes and allow everybody to equip whatever. At least it would be balanced.

Yes the 6 flamethrowers is just stupid, I thought they were getting 3 and not this insanity, after the merge these mofos are going to be everywhere. They should get 3 flamethrowers at max.

We are already creeping in this direction so at least make it quick.

Is harsh remember this when the first cause of death in enlisted is a explosive one, and most of player like me simply rush,die,respawn, stay alive with the squad is a not a priority (for me at least) still i understand in a hand of a min maxer this is pure gold

It’s true the problem might not be permanent to activity. but as it’s fresh, it needs to be the community actively standing against Darkflow for just being whack and destroying balance. Would be better to just give a list of our demands on problematic squads and features instead of just hundreds of contradictory opinions from loads of idiots giving voice to the wrong things.

Yet to see the effects of the merge. I’ll give you that with top tier weapons after the merge I think.

The Lanciafiamme Mod. 41 d’assalto was an flamethrower used by the Royal Italian Army during World War 2, The mod. 41 was meant to be an extremely light and compact flamethrower to equip paratroopers and Assault Engineers

The weapon had an effective range of roughly 20-25 meters (65 to 82 feet) and was used extensively during the North African Campaigns against the Allies.


So they should definitely nerf the range.

I don’t think they should be afraid to nerf stuff ppl putting some effort in to get. The current situations is so sub-optimal.
