The jet of fire should be an instant kill with no chance to put it out because you can’t pat out napalm
The AOE flames it puts in the environment should be able to be put out
As it stands the flamethrowers are absolutely worthless as a weapon outside of blinding your own teammates
More often than not you’re getting shot by the person you’re immolating
Please do something because the squad is p worthless for this reason
Just make it impossible for soldiers who are on fire to shoot back.
Yeah, i tried to upgrade Flametroopers II, and it is pain. You need soo much Exp for even one level, and it is not even worth it as i wont use that squad anyway.
perhaps not worthed for you, but i do select them among other squads.
( at least for the germans over normandy ) that increase range is very helpful compared to the flamethrower type 1.

i think the damage is somewhat fine, but the soldiers should not be able to return fire when getting melted down.
but if this is too hard to do, then sure, increase the damage.

If flamethower would worked like that, then i would like that squad. Range is good on second flamethower, but that i get killed because those soldiers are not in pain and can shot back is bad, that should be adressed, as you and anothers say.
But now they are not really my favorite squad.
I RL flame thrower guy’s life expectancy was very very low … The minute he lit up every sniper was zeroed on him …
Yeah, but you didnt happend to be magically resistant to fire burns, pain and could have shot back like in Enlisted. I dont mind if i get killed by sniper, i mind when im killed by guy who is burning alive and then he can magically extinguish himself.

Yes they were singed by the attack but not so much that they couldn’t return fire and then stop drop and roll to put out any flames …
Just as it’s somewhat of an abstraction to simulate that guys with the FT just didn’t live very long themselves…

They should 1. be out of the fight permanently ie: fucking dead and 2. if caught with the edge on fire and unable to fire back

Sure I understand also that the FT has a wide cone of effect. So it’s not outside the realm of belief that some will be in the middle of the cone and some on the edges …
As I said before just like det packs are also an abstraction when it come to taking out tanks.
We all know that soldiers in ww2 didnt carry around det packs in the numbers shown in enlisted but it does simulate how dangerous it was for tanks to get too close to infantry.
