Guerillas cannot use any type of vehicle on the map. I can’t use a boat in the Pacific maps, and I can’t drive trucks or jeeps either. This needs to be fixed.
that is a feature not a bug to prevent spawn camping, the only thing you need a jeep for is to quickly get into the enemies gray zone
It was confirmed to be a feature of the guerillas and not a bug.
You can’t go into their spawn in the first place, so what do they mean by this?
Then it needs to be changed.
yeah I still don’t understand the reasoning, guerillas can’t use vehicles because… they’d be driving in the greyzone? What’s the issue?
I 100% agree.
@Kriegerfaust007. Disagree. For one thing, whats the difference between a guerilla squad with SMGs rocking up close to enemy spawn, and a regular assualter squad with SMGS using jeep for example to get close to enemy spawn?
They have the same firepower.
Surely they could just put features to stop spawncamping? We already have alerts and instant death if you enter within a certain radius of enemy spawns.
Because there are some maps were vehicles are really needed such as theres a Tunisia map where Allies spawn on a big sand dune and use generated jeeps to get closer. Otherwise you have to run across a very large area with zero and I mean zero cover. You are guaranteed to lose everyone which just isnt right. (guerillas dont have much speed perks)
Guerillas in my opinion become useless when they are spawned behind everyone and have to waste most of the time just running to the objective let alone getting anywhere near the enemy flank (which is the whole point of the class).
In the Pacific boats are often essential to those flanking maneuvers. The way the objectives and maps are designed youre forced to confront the enemy head on.
That is not what guerillas are for, indeed the entire purpose is for situations like that where theres a stalemate between the two armies and the guerillas can flank and destroy enemy rallypoints/tanks and so forth from behind to assist their team.
Guerillas are also necessary to destroy tanks cowardly spamming HE from the greyzone which ordinary infantry cannot access. (which is very common in the Pacific).
Also a final note is occasionally one finds abandoned motorcycles with sidecars. The disadvantages of these have been discussed many times so they are definitely not OP. But these are precisely the sorts of things guerillas should be able to use, pick up enemy weapons, find abandoned vehicles and use them.
I just had an idea maybe guerillas can use vehicles + boats but only up to a certain point after which the engine conks out as if its out of petrol or whatever. That way you have a chance to actually use guerillas effectively, while preventing people from just zooming straight to enemy spawn and camping it like a 1970s police movie.
It normal because if they were able to use vehicle they could team with a other person so they can greyzone camping everywere or just rush spawn.
There aren’t enough vehicles to keep doing that consistently. And even on maps where there are that many vehicles, they are usually destroyed by tanks/planes.
Sorry I dont understand your argument here. What do you mean by team with another person?
Regarding your other points, did I not already cover these in my comment?
And one more general comment for everyone: People are concerned about guerillas camping spawn but then… cant they already do this? Granted it is slower to get there but if your problem with this idea is that “the spawn can be camped” well I think thats a problem more with the concept of guerillas themselves than whether or not they can use vehicles.
People are also forgetting that vehicles cant always get to the spawn easily, its not like every map has a big autobahn they can just drive straight to the objective. Bridges are usually in the line of the enemy. for example.
Theres also nothing stopping the enemy team shooting guerillas in vehicles which as I said before are literally the same as any other squad in a vehicle. The ONLY change is that guerillas in vehicles may be able to enter the greyzone itself, how about we just make it vehicles only work up until the greyzone??
how about this guerelias can use vehicles but vehicles have an extended gray zone and if they get too close (on the enemies side of the map) an explosion counter begins
this would prevent the enemy from rushing to the edge of the gray zone than entering it to kill the enemy in the gray zone, wanting vehicle to get fast to the point is one thing.
wanting to rush to the edge of the gray zone to get into the grey zone is another so
no na no no no

short answer no long answer nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
being able to start killing enemies in the gray zone in around a minute would be far too strong
The speed at which they would get there would be too fast.
yeah, partisans are still weak, time to remove these unrealistic nerfs
No.
Problem solved: if the enemy doesn’t want partisans killing them in a driveby, they can just kill them.
I’ll be taking my keys now
Sometimes i forget about that class exists since my tanks get killed them so rarely. Maybe one per 20 deaths in my tank is from them at BR2-3, and at high BR they are just worthless since anyone can just use stronger rocket launchers, planes/tanks, engineer at guns or even mortars, and good luck trying to cross the map with everyone carrying ultra accurate low TTK BR5 weapons.
Disagree they arent regular soldiers, so they are not supposed to know to use these stuff in first place (AA, tanks, cannons MG nests)
But i agree with allowing them to use little vehicles like motorcycles (if they found one in first place) and the Jeeps that You can easily found
Just a little fact if they are using motorcycles they wouldnt be able to use the mg’s places because they are not supposed to
No i dont want the to be able to, a drive into the gray or even b drive up to the gray. a no use of vehicles or b drive up to the point, allowing the enemy team to drive in your teams area or gray zone would make them too strong, to be clear no they cannot spawn drive to gray edge exit jeep enter gray zone
I mean the squads in game vary from guerrillas to saboteur groups, so thats a bit of a flawed argument. Not to mention many such groups would have operated captured machine guns and even in rarer cases, captured tanks.
My question is why do you want the ability to get into the grey zone within the first minute for fighting? For a unit that operated mostly in the shadows of the war using a vehicle to get from one place to the next seems counterproductive. Especially when traditionally Guerillas were under strength and not well equipped. Yes, DF changed this by giving them unrealistic abilities and carrying compacity. You say they are normal soldiers, but they are far from “Normal” soldiers. With every kill they get they can just replace the ammo that they used on the group they killed. What other squad can do that just be going to the dead body and picking up the enemy weapon? Engineers are the closet, and they have to switch to hammer bang away until an ammo dump appears and then refresh. Every other squad sacrifices their main weapon for a foreign weapon that doesn’t have stats when you’re using it.
So, I can see why to balance for them is they cannot gain extra mobility from jeeps and boats. I mean the fact that unlike other squads they have these abilities to fully replace ammo and carry a crazy number of explosives that Micheal Bay would approve of not to mention the Guerillas have the ability to go into the enemy grey zone without dying and harass tanks and soldiers until they are taken care of. In the hands of a good player a Guerilla squad is hard to pin down and can take out a lot of enemy soldiers before they are dealt with, THEY ARE STRONG. I don’t agree they should get the access to have even more mobility on the battlefield. DF gave them the ability to pretty much never run out of ammo for this reason.
So, if you get caught and killed moving from spawn into the grey zone on foot to deal with that pesky tank. I’m sorry that’s just bad luck try again later. It’s the same as having an AT squad get killed while trying to move in that same tank, or your tank getting blown up while into position to take out that tank.
to be honest
Guerrilla itself is a kind of spawn point camping
The birth of guerrillas comes from extreme infantry groups
Because their intelligence or abilities or ideas do not allow them to use anti-tank rocket barrels or use other fighting methods other than infantry.
So they cried and slandered and asked the officials to develop a solution that would allow him to enter the gray zone and destroy the tank.
So we got a great team that can go into idiot sanctuaries and slaughter low-skilled and low-IQ idiots like crazy.
I destroyed 15 vehicles piloted by idiots in the idiot sanctuary
I didn’t even get any revenge attacks
