Fix the AVS/ZH29 in Moscow

Regarding the changes to semi automatic rifles one campaign sticks out the most: Moscow. While the AVS 36 remains unnerfed in both automatic and semi auto the ZH29 is now hindered by the nerf.

Proposal one: Simply unnerf the ZH29. Atleast allow it fire as fast as before to match the semi auto mode of the AVS 36. This would only effect Moscow as the weapon is only present in Moscow

Proposal two: Give the Germans a different select fire rifle that allows them similar fire power to the AVS 36. What that is I dont know

Proposal three: Nerfs suck undo it and reverse the migration of people to automatics

Proposal four: Lock select fires to specific classes (my favorite)

Why is everyone suggesting things that would lead into more complication and problems when DF just needs to undo the semi auto nerf to solve it?

You should be asking for the semi auto nerf to be reverted and not all of this which the devs wont ever see or care about.

Unnerf ZH29, suggestion one. How is that hard to read?

Just the ZH? No.
Every semi auto. How hard is it to read?

You arent being realistic. I would love for that to happen but it probably wont however highlighting GLARING issues may make pieces to be changed

The FG-42 was a huge problem ever since it was added, an insane amount of threads and posts were made about it, DF still did nothing about it and most likely wont, the same thing will happen with the AVS in Moscow.
Therefore all of this is deemed as pointless banter.

Then why are you responding dude? Or even on the forums? I agree they dont listen to us thats pretty clear but Im not going to come on here and bash people for pointing out issues

would rather see the ZH being nerfed even more, so that ppl keep using weapons that actually existed, since you know ww2 and stuff…

Cool idea. Make a thread about it and its replacement.

Captured AVT-40 or AKT-40?

Im not bashing you, im bashing DF for not listening. The only thing the forums are useful for is reporting bugs and commenting on updates.

Lol yeah I have no idea but definitely dont want that. Could just…undo the nerf

Those are from 1942, they were not present in the Moscow campaign + its a copy paste.

in fact months ago, there were a few people who complained saying “semiautomatic rifles outshine bolt-action rifles” and things like that, all in order to nerf semiautomatics and surprise, the developers heard them and we fell a very painful nerf.

Just nerfing semi auto in general is a bad idea. Roll back the nerf

Would be great

They should just remove semi auto rifles and replace them with bolt actions, problem solved.

“Remove the semi-automatic pistols”, mmmm I don’t see it as a good idea, why? For the simple fact that it is never right to remove “things” from players who, in case, made an effort to obtain them, it would be a slap to their effort and dedication, I would prefer that when they use the automatic mode the recoil is increased.

In some campaigns, like Berlin and Normandy, this wasn’t an issue.

HOWEVER, Tunisia and Moscow both suffered from issues with Semi Autos being far superior to anything else.
The main issue was the ability to spamfire them to guarentee kills without the recoil penalty that SMG and MGs had. The AVS can’t hit a barn door at 20 paces, and usually means you waste most of the 15rnd magazine trying to get a kill.

Are the weapons still good?
Yes
Are they as abused as they were?
No

You just have to use them differently, I’ve had no issue adapting to the new G.41/ M1 Carb/ Armaguerra.

Semi autos are honest to god better now aside from a select couple
Namely the ZH, M1C, and VG1-5
