Fix the AVS/ZH29 in Moscow

In what way are they “better”? It was easy to hit things at long range simply by controlling your mouse trigger finger. Now the artificial cap forces it, but remove closer range ability. Not much “better”.

It was just unnecessary to nerf those 🤷

Better for me because monkey see enemy monkey click too fast
Subjectively feel better too with the lower ROF like the K98 Krieg vs the normal K98

That’s a fucking joke because you can still hipfire, just not at 600rpm
You’re either going to kill them or get killed same as normal

I’ve only seen improvement with semi-autos since the rof change and then massive melodramatics on the forum

Thats the idea though, they are supposed to be mid range weapons, they’re not designed for use in close quarter combat.
The amount of times I’d get killed in Tunisia by some Allied soldier spamfiring an M1 carbine to clear a room was insane, because it was easier to do so than to use a Thompson on full auto.

Tell me I’m wrong lmao

I 100% agree, the M1 carbine is actually better now IMO because you can take the time to get shot onto target, before you felt like you had to spam it because of its low DPS, but now I can routinely pop shots off and get a decent number of kills. Even tend to steal it from corpses because it feels so much nicer

Well I disagree here, those were before nerf “all around” weapons. Versatile, good in everything, mastering none (thanks to the artificial damage cap). The only result from that nerf is favouring full auto weaponry “monkeys”

Plus soldiers have their trusty pistol with them

The amount of people I kill with my 1911 or P38 is pretty staggering
Empty rifle
Melee
Pistol

Feel like this nibba

They may have been “all round”, but the devs never intended them to be.
This is why they were nerfed.

BAs are long range,
SAs are mid range
SMGS are short range.

Disagree, in some campains, It has slowed the gameplay down, Tunisia has been the highest benefactor. I don’t play Normandy, so I can’t judge on this, but Berlin and Moscow have nice feel to them.

Even the Astra 300 and Golden Barretta come out to play now!

I dont think the nerf was needed as I control my shots anyway but I feel a slight buff to 300-350 would feel more natural. The stand outs are the ZH29 vs AVS 36, M1 carbine and VG 1-5 which need to be addressed

I mean, what Fox said on the forum is that practical rate of aimed fire with a semi automatic rifle chambered in rifle cartridge is around 300 rpm.
So to make the game realistic they changed it to 200-220 rpm. (max stock-max upgraded)
I mean, wtf?
The fact is that you can fire semi auto rifles at close range quickly. It is inaccurate, but perfectly possible.

And when it comes to intermediate cartridge semi autos, so M1 Carbine and MP 507 (another thing - get the names right), they should obviously reverse the nerf for them as well, and also lower M1’s recoil to roughly match that of the MP 43/I.

What baffles me is they didnt apply this nerf to the semi auto mode on the select fire rifles. Just pick and choose apparently

It’s sad to say but…
Semi mode on full auto rifle is working realistically :stuck_out_tongue:
The artificial cap on regular semis however, does not.

I just think its too slow for my normal pace. Probably 300-350 would fit more. Currently I awkwardly click and nothing happens lol

I mean, as @Conscript_Joe said, the unrealistic part is semi autos being artificially slowed down.

In case anybody wonders how fast can M1 Garand mechanically fire:

Oh I agree. I dont think we needed some weird artificial cap. If you want to spray your rounds and run out thats on you. If they want to fix that increase recoil on rapidly fired shots

But I definitely agree that 300-350 rpm would be a nice sweet spot between balance and realism.

They should revert the changes, they ruined my beloved SVT-38 that I spent so much time on upgrading, it was my favourite semi auto until they ruined it.

Even when I unlocked the AVS I still used the SVT because it had better preformance on medium to long range, but now im forced to use the AVS which has very bad accuracy and I hate it.

And Fox said that if needed, they will increase rate of fire of the M1 Carbine and VG 1-5 to 300 rpm, so we’ll see about that.
