IDK why Soviet mains keep crying about IS-2, it’s decent tank with good mobility, its more of a medium tank with a huge gun strapped to it than a heavy tank though, so don’t expect to tank most of the damage, but it can avoid bombers and infantry well, it can quickly return to cover to after firing so the only downside the long reload can be mitigated by taking cover, honestly Its the most effective weapon to hunt Tigers.
Never saw service during the war, besides it would just cause more headaches, you can’t expect to give USSR a cold war tank and get away with it, Japan, US and Germany will all demand even more outlandish tanks.
Better than the IS-2, but still very long. Poor visibility, low survivability, terrible high explosive shell, they work poorly against infantry. The gun’s armor penetration is excellent.
