Okay, have fun getting nuked by Panzerfaust 60 in your BR1 or BR2 german tank. It’s also because there is okay, and there is overkill. Panzerfaust 60 being BR3 is overkill, no ones gonna want to play tanker since you CAN’T survive panzerfaust 60 with low BR tanks
Well, thanks for explaining that a bit. Most people just seem to hate SBMM in general but again I can’t stop thinking that is because most people think they are good players. I had the same opinions with CoD introducing SBMM and for me personally I think SBMM has improved the fun I have with such games. But I may need to accept that I am not the average player that finds quite a lot of fun in matches where every opponent plays on my level or above.
Thats really one thing why I liked enlisted. Most players I encounter are way above my “battle rating” so to speak and could just stomp me with high end gear. But some part of me likes this challenge. Knowing you could always encounter a full MG42 squad if you aren’t careful enough and then if you do so trying to counter play the player with my low end bolt action rifles by sneaking around, building smart defenses and such is kinda fun for me.
Your last point though feels more like a point that would enhance the SBMM aspect. Having less players than required for everybody to have a 100% fair match means more variety and a higher chance for very good players to have easier opponents. Which is exactly what good people want. The whole debate is just about if we allow good players to destroy bad players or if we try to defend worse players. Isn’t that the case?
I’d be all right with having 1 rifle GL per player being BR2 (and when the person carries it dies, then it’s lost, can’t be picked up by others) but if you bring more grenade launchers, the surplus becomes BR3 and more than 4 of them BR4.
A somewhat different approach than the current.
If it was based on the amount you had I’d be fine
Because it would prevent me from seeing the players that use ONLY the grenade and never touch the firearm itself lol
BR will do that to some extent, low BR is training zone free of top tier cancer. Gives players time to get to know game and get good at it.
SBMM will throw that new player into grinder because he played well - punishing him for playing good.
I would rather have good players playing with worse equipment, than good players throwing countless games to lower their ELO and stomp new players with Tiger II.
Just because someone played well with bolt-action rifles doesn’t mean he knows tanks weakspots, which planes to look out for, what maps have what quirks.
And simply put SBMM never worked good in my eyes, especially in casual games
Exactly, and it would make it easier to balance weapon types’ BR without ruling them out from places where they were actually used - not a single impact grenade or a single grenade launcher is the problem, but the overuse of them. The ones that are too toxic when used excessively could get this extra mechanism.
KV1 should be reverted to tier 4, this tank is too much strong and even better than T34 1941…
KV 1 fits perfectly into BR3, it did just like the T34s stop the German advance, Germany at that time only had Panzer III with their short 5cm guns - which had no chance against those vehicles, but once the Panzer IV F2 came into existence, the KV tanks became completely obsolete
- you don’t need heavy armor on all sides of the armor, as well as super thick roof armor when you get knocked out in one single hit, which is why the KV tanks were discontinued - it was a waste of steel and T34s did the same job just as well.
and again, KV 1 is overperforming and has 130mm of armor instead of 75, otherwise Panzer IV would not bounce.
I’m convinced German tankers are just dogshit because I do fine penning the hull and turret of the KV-1 with my IV G and F2
There are better historic inaccurate games, you know.
If you give up what makes Enlisted unique…
hatch on front right also works. Instant explosion.
How soon is soon?
Yeah it sails right through the UFP from the F2
Goes right through the turret and mantlet where it should as well
The first Mkbs were used in April 1942. That means it wouldn’t be used in Moscow, but theoretically could appear in Stalingrad
They could make it BR 3 so it has a chance to appear in both early and later battles, but then that depends what “BR” battles such as Kursk would appear in
Because they needed a weapon to complement having Fedorov Avtomat in Moscow, and it is still pretty rare to see in matches. It’s always trying to give something to both sides so that they don’t feel like they don’t get something to be the alternative to the other side.
overall everything seems good, though the kv1 is going to be very problematic against tier 1 and 2.
also im a bit scare we still have no info in ap mines, impact grenades and graenade launcher wich can be a problem in low tiers.
and finally now axis dont have para in low tiers allies have 2 so thats also a bit of a problem knowing how broken theyre are
Personally I don’t care about this faction having X and the other faction having Y. It’s like the Germans have the MP 40, Soviets have PPSh, both got an SMG? Then that’s that
Of coarse there is nothing wrong with the variety of weapons in game, just I have my particular standards of when and where things should be
I find it’s all complicated dynamic chaos
Plus I’ve never found the enemy having this or that truly impacted the outcome of the game, more so the composition of the enemy team. It’s like you can be a great tanker but if your infantry can’t defend the point then you still lose
Or how every weapon has a high TTK. Sometimes I’ve beaten the M2 carbine or PPSh with my rifle, sometimes they beat me. Sometimes it’s about who sees who first, who fires first, who happens to miss, etc
also you can count the name of the games who have used the Fedorov Avtomat on 2 hands, btw, it’S the Modification of 1923 you are using.
It’s variety otherwise less peoples wants to play X faction because it doesn’t have a counterpart to Y faction. And for Japan, it sure does feel really bad for Darkflow trying to add new stuff to them, they only had a navy which was really strong. And we need naval warfare also
Other suggestions:
- M24 to rank 2
If the T-28 can be rank 2, I don’t see why the M24 can’t be.
- M10 to rank 3
- M18 to rank 3
- Panzer IV H to rank 3
All of these tanks are super glass cannony, so it wouldn’t be unfair to pit them against lower-tier tanks. If the Panzer IV H got track armour as default and the American tanks stayed with solid shot, then I could maybe understand putting it at rank 4 but for now, rank 3 is probably fair for all of them.
- M4A2 (76) W to rank 4
- Firefly to rank 4
These tanks are on par with the Panther at best, and definitely not a King Tiger. they have no business being at rank 5.
- IAR-81 to rank 2
Baby Zero with better bombs. Need I say more
- P-38E to rank 2
If you put the P–38G at rank 2, I see no reason why the version with worse flight performance and no payload shouldn’t also be at rank 2. While you are at it, folder the P-38E with the P-38G and not the P-38J because having to grind to tier 4 for the first variant of the P-38 to see combat in the war is just stupid.
- P-47D-22-RE to rank 3
This thing has about a third of the payload of the regular P-47 but is also at rank 5 for some reason. I think it’s fair at rank 3, seeing as rank 2 has an attacker P-38 with the M8 rockets, so a rank 3 P-47 with the same amount of rockets plus a bomb wouldn’t be too unfair.
- P-38J to rank 4
This thing is going to eat every low tier plane apart because of how fast it goes, in addition to it’s payload being quite good over all. It should be brought back to rank 4.
- P-51D to rank 4
Fighter with the payload of attackers of the same BR (literally identical to the TBFAP-1). No other explanation is needed.
